London based alt-pop trio PLYA have revealed the video for their new single ‘Feast My Eye’, out now via Atlantic Records’ Taste & Tone label.   Featuring My Family actor Gabriel Thomson, the video explores the demise of a relationship and captures the lyrical desire to make an unfaithful partner suffer the consequences of their actions.

An undulating and euphoric blend of dark dream-pop and electronica, ‘Feast My Eye’ is the band’s third single, following the infectious debut ‘Thinking Of You’ and ‘Adrenaline’.

PLYA marry the sophistication and style of the London scene with the exoticism of southern Europe and seductive west coast beaches, creating a sensual and captivating sound. These multinational influences arise from the band’s vocalist Julia Sykes, whose eclectic upbringing took her from Mallorca to Morocco and back before relocating to the UK, where she met bandmates Kris Taylor (guitar) and William Brown (drums).

The trio have been creating a buzz amongst tastemakers, with a whole host of Hype Machine attention and rave reviews,  and were invited for an interview with BBC Introducing London, which aired on April 7th.

PLYA’s first show was a sold-out headline performance at London’s Camden Assembly last year and over the past month have supported K.Flay, R.LUM.R and The Aces.

FORTHCOMING LIVE DATES
May 17th – The Alternative Escape, Brighton (Help Musicians UK showcase)

The new album and tour follow a breakthrough few years for Cobb, who was nominated for Best Americana Album at the 60th GRAMMY Awards for his major label debut, Shine On Rainy Day.

Released in 2016 to overwhelming acclaim, Uncut said of the album, “the work of a man who’s finally found his calling”, while Mojo said, “It would be a true tragedy if we had to wait another decade for more of his intimate, timeless music.”

Since the album’s release, Cobb has been nominated for Emerging Artist of the Year at the 2017 Americana Honors & Awards and made his television debut on CONAN.

Cobb was born in Americus, Georgia, about an hour east of Columbus, in the rural south-central part of the state. In addition to his work as an artist, Cobb is widely respected as a songwriter garnering cuts by Lee Ann Womack, Luke Bryan, The Oak Ridge Boys, Little Big Town, Miranda Lambert and more.

Released earlier this month, ‘Icarus’ is a dark and hard-hitting tale of drug abuse. The single itself features soaring guitars and expansive orchestral elements, as well as Dan Owen’s jaw-dropping vocals, and has already gained support from Radio 2. Listen to the original single HERE.

‘Icarus’ follows Dan’s previous singles ‘Made To Love You’ and ‘Hideaway’, all of which feature on his upcoming album. ‘Made To Love You’ has amassed over 10 million streams on Spotify, while his last single ‘Hideaway’ proved a highly praised radio hit. VIRGIN RADIO ‘RECORD OF THE WEEK’

Dan Owen has released the video for his brand new single ‘Hideaway’, out now through Atlantic Records.

The video sees Dan playing one half of an escaping couple, running from attackers through a menacing English countryside setting as they are caught up in an intense car chase and terrorised by snarling attack dogs.

‘Hideaway’ enlists huge blues riffs which bolster the mighty soulful tones of Dan’s jaw-dropping vocal abilities. The song is achieving widespread exposure with plays at Radio 2 from Dermot O’Leary, Zoe Ball and Joe Whiely, while it has also been featured as Virgin Radio’s recent ‘Record Of The Week’ and soundtracks the Boots No.7 televised and online advert.

Dan has gained critical acclaim across the world following his debut release on Atlantic Records with ‘Moonlight’ earlier this year. He has become a big live draw across the UK and Europe and has just completed a 16-date sold out headline tour, including a headline show at London’s OMEARA last night. He’s also played a number of high profile festivals this summer including Latitude and Barn On The Farm among many others.

With the release of ‘Hideaway’ we find the Shrewsbury singer at his most bold and determined yet, delivering an impressive statement as one of the most exciting new voices in the UK today. His debut album will be released next year.
