BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY POSTERTwentieth Century Fox, New Regency and GK Films will expand “Bohemian Rhapsody,” Golden Globe winner for Best Picture (Drama), starring Rami Malek, Golden Globe winner for Best Actor (Drama), to more than 1300 theaters in the U.S. and Canada this Friday, January 11.  More than 750 of the locations will be playing a never before experienced “sing-along” version of the foot-stomping celebration of Queen, their music and their extraordinary lead singer Freddie Mercury.

Chris Aronson, Twentieth Century Fox President of Domestic Distribution said, “We are delighted to give audiences the opportunity to see this outstanding Golden Globe-winning film featuring Rami Malek’s amazing Golden Globe-winning performance in theaters all over the US and Canada in both its original form and in a never-before-experienced “sing-along” version.”

“Bohemian Rhapsody,” the highest-grossing musical biopic of all time, has amassed a worldwide box office total of over $734.4 million to date. In addition to its Golden Globe wins, the film has received SAG nominations for Outstanding Male Actor (Rami Malek) and Outstanding Cast; PGA nomination for Outstanding Producer (Graham King); and Broadcast Film Critics Association nominations for Best Actor (Malek), Best Costume Design and Best Hairstyling and Makeup.

SYNOPSIS: BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY is a celebration of rock band Queen and its incendiary lead singer Freddie Mercury (played by Rami Malek, in a tour-de-force performance). With an original screenplay by Anthony McCarten (The Darkest Hour, The Theory of Everything), and story by McCarten and Peter Morgan (The Queen, The Crown), the film traces the rise of the group and its frontman, who so brazenly defied stereotypes and shattered convention. Though Queen reached staggering global success through their iconic songs (including We Are The Champions, Somebody to Love, Don’t Stop Me Now and We Will Rock You) and their revolutionary sound and style, it was not without its obstacles.  Mercury – amidst personal struggles – famously chose to abandon the group in pursuit of a solo career. His eventual reunion with the band at Live Aid 1985 went on to be considered one of the greatest performances in the history of rock music, though this time in Mercury’s life also was marked by his tragic battle with AIDS.

Twentieth Century Fox and Regency Enterprises present Bohemian Rhapsody, now in theaters.

TWENTIETH CENTURY FOX FILM ANNOUNCES RELEASE OF

“HOME” BY ACTOR, MULTI-PLATINUM AND GRAMMY NOMINATED SINGER NICK JONAS FROM FERDINAND SOUNDTRACK

Original song from the forthcoming animated feature released today

Twentieth Century Fox today announced the release of “Home” an original song by Nick Jonas from the forthcoming animated feature FERDINAND.

“I’ve always wanted to write an original song for a film,” says Jonas. “When they showed me the materials of the movie, FERDINAND, a story I was familiar with, I was thrilled.”

FERDINAND tells the story of a giant bull with a big heart. After being mistaken for a dangerous beast, he is captured and torn from his home. Determined to return to his family, he rallies a misfit team on the ultimate adventure. Set in Spain, Ferdinand proves you can’t judge a bull by its cover.

Jonas says “Home” encompasses the film’s theme of acceptance. “I wrote this song with good friends of mine Justin Tranter and Nick Monson,” says Jonas. “And we wrote about feeling accepted and feeling loved, wherever that place is for you. For me it’s home, it’s my family, people I have closest to me; and the experiences we’ve shared.”

FERDINAND is directed by Carlos Saldanha, the director of “Rio” and inspired by the beloved book “The Story of Ferdinand” by Munro Leaf and Robert Lawson. The heartwarming animated comedy adventure features an all-star cast that includes John Cena, Kate McKinnon, Gina Rodriguez, Anthony Anderson and many more. It will be released by Twentieth Century Fox on December 15, 2017. The film’s soundtrack will be release by Island Records on December 1, 2017.
