Annie Lennox Debuts Music Video for

“Requiem For A Private War”

Song Appears in the Upcoming Film A PRIVATE WAR, Starring Rosamund Pike, Jamie Dornan, Tom Hollander and Stanley Tucci

Annie Lennox debuted the music video for her single “Requiem For A Private War,” her first new song in eight years. The song was written for the film A Private War, which stars Rosamund Pike as the late, iconic journalist Marie Colvin. The film is directed by Academy Award nominated filmmaker Matthew Heineman. Jamie Dornan, Tom Hollander and Stanley Tucci co-star.

“Writing ‘Requiem for a Private War’ for the film ‘A Private War’ has not only given me an opportunity to honour Marie Colvin, but also aims to amplify the ‘truth to power’ message she fought all her life to convey to the world, regarding the atrocious consequences of warfare and its effects upon innocent civilian populations,” Lennox says.

A Private War is in theaters now and “Requiem For A Private War” is available for stream and for purchase HERE.

SYNOPSIS: In a world where journalism is under attack, Marie Colvin (Academy Award nominee Rosamund Pike) is one of the most celebrated war correspondents of our time. Colvin is an utterly fearless and rebellious spirit, driven to the frontlines of conflicts across the globe to give voice to the voiceless, while constantly testing the limits between bravery and bravado. After being hit by a grenade in Sri Lanka, she wears a distinctive eye patch and is still as comfortable sipping martinis with London’s elite as she is confronting dictators. Colvin sacrifices loving relationships, and over time, her personal life starts to unravel as the trauma she’s witnessed takes its toll. Yet, her mission to show the true cost of war leads her — along with renowned war photographer Paul Conroy (Jamie Dornan) — to embark on the most dangerous assignment of their lives in the besieged Syrian city of Homs. Based on the extraordinary life of Marie Colvin, A PRIVATE WAR is brought to the screen by Academy Award nominee and critically acclaimed documentary filmmaker Matthew Heineman in his pulse-pounding narrative feature debut.

In Disney’s “Mary Poppins Returns,” an all new original musical and sequel, Mary Poppins is back to help the next generation of the Banks family find the joy and wonder missing in their lives following a personal loss.

Emily Blunt (“A Quiet Place,” “The Girl on the Train”) stars as the practically-perfect nanny with unique magical skills who can turn any ordinary task into an unforgettable, fantastic adventure and Lin-Manuel Miranda (“Hamilton,” “Moana”) plays her friend Jack, an optimistic street lamplighter who helps bring light—and life—to the streets of London.

“Mary Poppins Returns” is directed by Rob Marshall (“Into the Woods,” “Chicago”).

The screenplay is by David Magee (“Life of Pi”) and the screen story is by Magee & Marshall & John DeLuca (“Into the Woods”) based upon the Mary Poppins Stories by PL Travers.

The producers are John DeLuca, p.g.a., Rob Marshall, p.g.a. and Marc Platt, p.g.a. (“La La Land”) with Callum McDougall serving as executive producer.

The music score is by Marc Shaiman (“Hairspray”) and the film features all-new original songs with music by Shaiman and lyrics by Scott Wittman (“Smash”) and Shaiman.

The film also stars Ben Whishaw (“Spectre”) as Michael Banks; Emily Mortimer (“Hugo”) as Jane Banks; Julie Walters (“Harry Potter” films) as the Banks’ housekeeper Ellen; Pixie Davies, Nathanael Saleh and introducing Joel Dawson as the Banks’ children, with Colin Firth (“The King’s Speech”) as Fidelity Fiduciary Bank’s William Weatherall Wilkins; and Meryl Streep (“Florence Foster Jenkins”) as Mary’s eccentric cousin Topsy.

Angela Lansbury appears as the Balloon Lady, a treasured character from the PL Travers books and Dick Van Dyke is Mr. Dawes, Jr., the retired chairman of the bank now run by Firth’s character.

PL Travers first introduced the world to the no-nonsense nanny in her 1934 children’s book “Mary Poppins.”

However, the subsequent adventures of Mary Poppins remained only on the pages of the seven other PL Travers’ books…until now.

“Mary Poppins Returns” is drawn from the wealth of material in these additional books.

The film takes place in 1930s Depression-era London 24 years after the first film was set. Michael Banks works for the same financial institution that employed his father and still lives at 17 Cherry Tree Lane with his three children, Annabel, John and Georgie and their housekeeper Ellen.

Carrying on in her mother’s tradition, Jane Banks campaigns for workers’ rights and provides a helping hand to Michael’s family.

When the family suffers a personal loss, Mary Poppins magically re-enters their lives and with Jack’s help, brings joy and wonder back into their home.

This documentary will follow Daisy Coleman’s journey of healing from lifelong trauma and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, using EMDR

Saving Daisy will pick up where the Netflix film “Audrie & Daisy” left off.

This documentary will follow Daisy Coleman’s journey of healing from lifelong trauma and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, through treatment using EMDR (eye movement desensitization reprocessing) Therapy.

Millions of people from all over the world came to learn about Daisy’s sexual assault when her story went viral and was followed by a feature length documentary.

But that was only the beginning of her journey as a survivor.

With this film, Daisy has joined forces with a team of filmmakers and fellow survivors to follow her vulnerable PTSD recovery process, in an effort to inspire other survivors and their families in recovery.

They will follow her through her EMDR treatment to unlock the layers of trauma from her assault, the tragic death of her father prior to the assault, as well as the recent sudden loss of her younger brother.

Daisy has faced more trauma in her 21 years than anyone should ever be faced with in a lifetime, but this film will prove to survivors everywhere that healing is possible.

The goal and objective of this project is to record the impact and measurable results of EMDR treatment on a rape survivor and use this research and findings to ultimately create a narrative feature film based on Daisy Coleman’s life and recovery through EMDR.

In multiple research reports from 2015-2018, EMDR has shown the most long term and positive results in reducing PTSD trauma and triggers, specifically in rape survivors and trauma victims.

Daisy has already attended a consultation session with her new EMDR specialist Dr. Heather Westbarn and is ready/excited for the next phases of her treatment.

One of the most important goals of this process is to get Daisy the treatment she needs and deserves, so that she can thrive and fulfill her highest potential.

But Daisy being who she is, wants her journey to be able to help others as well, so the making of this short documentary will bring awareness to EMDR as a treatment tool for assault survivors and give them the hope and will to want to thrive too.

This short documentary will become part of the learning tools offered by SafeBAE, the national organization that Daisy helped to found in 2015, which works to prevent sexual assault among teens.

Its already hard to talk about sexual assault, and no one even knows where to start when it comes to healing.

Daisy is a female artist, hero and advocate whom is brave in being vulnerable enough to share this next part of her journey.

In addition to this kick ass woman in this film, the filmmakers are approaching the industry at a new angle.

This is a pivotal moment for everyone involved in the project and everyone involved wants you all to be apart of this beautiful project.

Those involved are not just doing this for the sake of the film, they are also making this to spread awareness about this incredible therapy and prove to survivors that they can heal.

This is also not the only thing under their belt, as mentioned above, in addition to this documentary they have a feature film in the process, being written with many celebrities attached, based on Daisy’s life and a tribute to her younger brother Tristan Coleman, whom passed away on June 19, 2018.

Hitting the goals for this project will not only help heal Daisy but also ensure more projects around this issue in the near future.

For more information and to follow this project visit savingdaisyfilm.com if you could donate anything they would be grateful, and if you can’t, please just spread the word and like the project.

She begs Dill to save her – and their young son – from her new, violent husband (Jason Clarke) by taking him out to sea on a fishing excursion, only to throw him to the sharks and leave him for dead. Karen’s appearance thrusts Dill back into a life he’d tried to forget, and as he struggles between right and wrong, his world is plunged into a new reality that may not be all that it seems.

ONCE UPON A DEADPOOL | Official Teaser-Trailer Released! | In Theaters December 12th

November 20, 2018November 20, 2018by KristinLeave a Comment

This December, get ready for a fairy tale that gives zero F’s.

To kick off the holiday season, the (sometimes) good guy in red is delivering the official trailer for ONCE UPON A DEADPOOL from 20th Century Fox! Audiences of almost all ages will soon be able to enjoy the Merc with the Mouth’s reimagining of Deadpool 2 filtered through the prism of childlike innocence.

“Fox has been asking for a PG-13 basically since the start in 2006,” Ryan Reynolds told Deadline. “I’ve said no since 2006. Now, this one time, I said ‘Yes’ on two conditions. First, a portion of the proceeds had to go to charity. Second, I wanted to kidnap Fred Savage. The second condition took some explaining…”

Fred Savage will join Reynolds in new scenes for ONCE UPON A DEADPOOL in an homage to Savage’s starring role in the 1987 bedtime-story classic THE PRINCESS BRIDE. Fred remarked, “while my participation in this film was anything but voluntary, I am happy to learn that Fudge Cancer will be the beneficiary of this shameless cash grab”

For every ticket sold, $1 will go to the charity Fudge Cancer – previously known as Fuck Cancer, who have graciously changed their name to be more PG-13 friendly for the 12 days of ONCE UPON A DEAD POOL’S release.

ONCE UPON A DEADPOOL opens in theaters for a limited engagement this holiday season from December 12 through December 24, 2018!

From Gale Anne Hurd, an executive producer of TV’s “The Walking Dead,” executive producer Tucker Tooley (Limitless, Den of Thieves), and directed by Gregory Plotkin (editor of Get Out, Happy Death Day, and director of Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension), “Hell Fest” is one truly terrifying ride.

A group of friends are bound for a horror-themed Halloween event at a local amusement park — a sprawling labyrinth of rides, games, and mazes that travels the country and happens to be in town.

But for one visitor, the ghoulish carnival of nightmares is not the attraction — it is a hunting ground.

On the night the friends attend, a masked serial killer turns the amusement park into his own playground, terrorizing attendees while the rest of the patrons believe that it is all part of the show.

As the body count and frenzied excitement of the crowd continues to rise, who will fight to survive the night? Take home “Hell Fest” and go behind the scenes with an exclusive, never-before-seen featurette, “Thrills and Kills: Making Hell Fest.”
