Actress Natalie Martinez talks with Jose Torres, EstrellasEnLA.com, about being a part of FOX’s upcoming crime drama “APB.”
Martinez talks about the fantastic way “APB” uses the newest tech and theories to make this show sci-fi based on actual science. She talks about her workout and keeping in shape.
Inspired by the New York Times Magazine article “Who Runs the Streets of New Orleans?,” by David Amsden, APB is a new police drama with a high-tech twist from executive producer/director Len Wiseman (LUCIFER, SLEEPY HOLLOW) and executive producers and writers Matt Nix (“Burn Notice”) and Trey Callaway (“The Messengers”).
Sky-high crime, officer-involved shootings, cover-ups and corruption: the over-extended and under-funded Chicago Police Department is spiraling out of control. Enter billionaire engineer GIDEON REEVES (Emmy Award and Golden Globe nominee Justin Kirk, “Tyrant,” “Weeds”).
After he witnesses his best friend’s murder, he takes charge of Chicago’s troubled 13th District and reboots it as a technically innovative police force, challenging the district to rethink everything about the way they fight crime.
Becoming the city’s most advanced police district isn’t easy. Gideon knows if he’s going to change anything, he needs help, which he finds from DETECTIVE THERESA MURPHY (Natalie Martinez, “Kingdom,” “Under the Dome”), an ambitious, street-smart cop who is willing to give Gideon’s technological ideas a chance.
With the help of Gideon’s gifted tech officer, ADA HAMILTON (Caitlin Stasey, “Reign”), he and Murphy embark on a mission to turn the 13th District – including a skeptical CAPT. NED CONRAD (Ernie Hudson, “Grace and Frankie,” “Ghostbusters”) and determined OFFICERS NICHOLAS BRANDT (Taylor Handley, “Vegas,” “Southland”) and TASHA GOSS (Tamberla Perry, “Boss”) – into a dedicated crime-fighting force of the 21st century.
Actress Sarah Wayne Callies talks with Jesus Figueroa, @Thisfunktional of Thisfunktional.com, about the upcoming return of FOX’s “Prison Break.”
With the success of “Prison Break” in the hispanic market and the fans of the series continuing on the excitement for the show years after the series finale, “Prison Break” is back with some surprising moments in the return.
Callies talks not only about the news season, but some of what has made the series successful in her opinion. She talks about the complicated situation Sara Tancredi finds herself in at the start of this new season and the complexity of Michael Scofield being alive.
PRISON BREAK is back and ready for its biggest escape yet.
In the new event series PRISON BREAK, original series stars Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell, Sarah Wayne Callies, Amaury Nolasco, Robert Knepper, Rockmond Dunbar and Paul Adelstein are reunited for an all-new adventure spanning the globe and featuring the signature thrills and cliffhangers that were hallmarks of the original series when it aired on FOX from 2005-2009.
The original action drama centered on MICHAEL SCOFIELD (Miller, “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow”), a young man determined to save his convicted brother, LINCOLN BURROWS (Purcell, “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow”), from death row by hatching an elaborate plan to escape from prison.
In the new series, filmed on location in Morocco, clues surface that suggest a previously thought-to-be-dead Michael may be alive.
Lincoln and SARA (Sarah Wayne Callies, “Colony,” “The Walking Dead”), Michael’s wife until he was presumed dead, reunite to engineer the biggest escape ever, as three of Fox River State Penitentiary’s most notorious escapees, SUCRE (Nolasco, “Telenovela”), T-BAG (Knepper, “Heroes”) and C-NOTE (Dunbar, “The Mentalist”), are pulled back into the action.
“Prison Break” was an immediate critical and ratings hit when it premiered on FOX in the fall of 2005, garnering Golden Globe Award nominations for Best Television Series – Drama and Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Drama (Miller). The original producing team, including series creator Paul T. Scheuring, Neal Moritz, Marty Adelstein and Dawn Olmstead, return to executive-produce the new series.
THE MICK is a no-holds-barred single-camera comedy that gives new meaning to the phrase “dysfunctional family.”
MACKENZIE aka “MICKEY” (Kaitlin Olson, “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”) is an unapologetic degenerate, who suddenly finds herself stuck in affluent Greenwich, CT, raising her spoiled niece and nephews: SABRINA (Sofia Black-D’Elia, “The Night Of”), an ambitious, 18-going-on-30-year-old who is a worthy adversary to Mickey; CHIP (Thomas Barbusca, “Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life”), 13, an arrogant, entitled neo-con-in-the-making with an extremely punchable face; and BEN (newcomer Jack Stanton), seven, an adorably fragile nerd.
It’s pretty much everything Mickey has never wanted. Regardless, she’s determined to rise to the occasion and transform these little monsters into honest, hard-working, decent members of society – something she knows absolutely nothing about.
Being a mother was never in Mickey’s game plan, but these kids desperately need a parent.
As irresponsible as Mickey has been her entire life, she may discover that responsibility and motherhood aren’t the buzzkill she always thought they would be.
The series also stars Carla Jimenez (“Raising Hope”) and Scott MacArthur (“Angie Tribeca”).
Actor Johnathan Fernandez talks with Jose Torres, EstrellasEnLA.com, about FOX’s Hit action-crime drama “Lethal Weapon,” now renewed for a second season.
Fernandez talks about having fun playing Scorsese and the silliness while being on set with Damon Wayans and Clayne Crawford.
“Lethal Weapon” airs on FOX Wednesdays at 8 p.m.

Combining action and drama with ride-or-die friendship and humor, LETHAL WEAPON reimagines the hit movie franchise, as it follows classic cop duo Riggs and Murtaugh, who work a crime-ridden beat in modern-day Los Angeles.
Grief-stricken after the loss of his young wife and unborn child, ex-Navy SEAL-turned-detective MARTIN RIGGS (Clayne Crawford, “Rectify”) moves to California to “start over” at the LAPD.
He’s paired up with ROGER MURTAUGH (Emmy Award nominee Damon Wayans, “My Wife and Kids,” “In Living Color”), who’s just coming back to the job after a near-fatal heart attack.
Riggs’ penchant for diving headfirst into the line of fire immediately clashes with Murtaugh’s prudent, by-the-book technique.
When CAPTAIN BROOKS AVERY (Kevin Rahm, “Mad Men”) assigns them their first case together, Riggs drags Murtaugh into a high-speed chase culminating inside the Long Beach Grand Prix and a seaport shootout with drug dealers – and despite his protests, the older cop feels more alive than he has in years.
Meanwhile, Riggs gets a glimpse of why Murtaugh is so determined to get home safely at the end of each day – he’s got a wife, TRISH (Keesha Sharp, “The People v. OJ Simpson: American Crime Story”), teenagers ROGER, JR. (Dante Brown, “Mr. Robinson”) and RIANA (newcomer Chandler Kinney) and a newborn baby.
Riggs’ life-on-the-edge attitude makes him a priority case for the department’s psychologist, DR. MAUREEN “MO” CAHILL (Jordana Brewster, “Furious 7”).
Rounding out the precinct is SCORSESE (Johnathan Fernandez, “Girls,” “Younger”), a pathologist with the LAPD who got his nickname after a stint in film school, which no one will let him forget.
By the time their first investigation ends, Riggs realizes he may have found something worth living for – a partner and friend, Murtaugh.
Even Murtaugh figures this arrangement might just work out after all. If only Riggs doesn’t get them killed first…
Actors Carla Jimenez and Scott MacArthur talk with Jose Torres, EstrellasEnLA.com, about FOX’s comedy “The Mick.”
Jimenez talks about playing a stereotypical character in a non-traditional way and how FOX is being more inclusive and bringing diversity to television.
MacArthur talks about how great it is to work with actors who are just fun to be around.
“The Mick” airs on FOX Mondays at 8:30 p.m. and has been renewed for a second season.

Legendary Actor Richard Dreyfuss talks with Jose Torres, EstrellasEnLA.com, about being part of FOX’s 10-part miniseries “Shots Fired.”
Dreyfuss asks Torres to borrow his “24: LEGACY” cap for the interview and proceeds to give some fantastic insight into choosing roles that matter and how the story of “Shots Fired” made him think about what is happening in the world now.
When JOSHUA BECK (Mack Wilds, “The Wire”), an African-American Sheriff’s deputy, kills an unarmed white college student, a small town in North Carolina is turned upside-down.
Before the town has a chance to grapple with this tragedy, the neglected murder of an African-American teen is brought to light, opening wounds that threaten to tear the community apart.
Leading the Department of Justice’s inquiry into these shootings is seasoned investigator ASHE AKINO (Sanaa Lathan, “The Perfect Guy,” “Love and Basketball”) and a young Special Prosecutor, PRESTON TERRY (Stephan James, “Race,” “Selma”), both of whom are African-American.
As they start to peel back the layers of both cases, they suspect a cover-up that may involve some of the state’s most powerful people, including fiercely political North Carolina Governor PATRICIA EAMONS (guest star Academy-, Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning actress Helen Hunt, “As Good As It Gets,” “The Sessions”).
She’s in a tough re-election fight, and the recent shootings in her state are making it even tougher.
Meanwhile, real estate mogul and owner of a privatized prison ARLEN COX (Academy- and Golden Globe Award-winning actor Richard Dreyfuss, “The Goodbye Girl,” “Jaws,” “Madoff”), is pulled into the volatile debate over policing in the town, and LT. CALVERT BREELAND (Stephen Moyer, “The Bastard Executioner,” “True Blood”), a seasoned veteran in the Sheriff’s Department, gets caught in the middle of the investigation.
As Ashe and Preston navigate the media attention, public debate and social unrest that come with such volatile cases, SHOTS FIRED tackles the racial divide from every seat in the house.

LOGO DOCUMENTARY FILMS SERÁ EL PRIMERO EN TELEVISAR “STRIKE A POSE”, UN DOCUMENTAL QUE CELEBRA EL 25to ANIVERSARIO DEL FAMOSO TOUR DE MADONNA TITULADO “BLOND AMBITION”

LOGO DOCUMENTARY FILMS WILL BE THE FIRST TO TELEVISE “STRIKE A POSE,” A DOCUMENTARY CELEBRATING THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF MADONNA’SINFAMOUS “BLOND AMBITION” TOUR
Documentary Explores the Lives of Her Seven Dancers Who Showed the World How to Find the Courage to “Express Themselves”
Film to Premiere on Logo on Thursday, April 6 at 9pm ET/PT
Hot off the heels of Logo’s “RuPaul’s Drag Race” Lady Gaga reveal, the network announced today the first of the Logo Documentary Films for this year will be “Strike a Pose,” which will premiere on Logo on Thursday, April 6 at 9pm ET/PT. The film catches up with seven young male dancers – 6 gay, one straight – on Madonna’s controversial Blond Ambition tour and her subsequent “Truth or Dare” documentary, as they unwittingly become icons for gay rights and sexual freedom. Twenty-five years later, the dancers reveal the truth about life during and after the tour and the significance of their courageous but harrowing journey to, as Madonna sings, “Express Yourself.” The critically acclaimed documentary, from filmmakers Ester Gould and Reijer Zwaan and the Emmy Award-winning Logo Documentary Films, was an official selection at the 2016 Tribeca, Berlin and Hot Docs Film Festivals.
“These seven dancers from the Blond Ambition tour inspired a whole generation. From the halls of the ballrooms to center stage, their bold self-expression was a true pop-culture inspiration,” said Taj Paxton, VP of Logo Documentary Films. “We’re proud to showcase the men behind the woman and to stir the next generation of leaders and tastemakers in the LGBTQ community.”
Meet the dancers:
Oliver Crumes III – Born and raised in the projects of New Orleans, Oliver admits to being homophobic when he first joined the troupe and thanks Madonna and the other dancers for opening his heart.
Carlton Wilborn – In “Truth or Dare,” Carlton became the personification of proud self-expression – laughing loud, dancing wild and jumping into Madonna’s bed bare-naked. But carrying a big secret, his extrovert personality was more a pose than true confidence.
Luis Camacho – In the 1980’s, Luis and his dance partner Jose Gutierez were striking poses in Harlem’s house ballrooms – a gay and drag scene in which men compete against one another for their dancing skills, style and catwalk presence. He and Jose taught Madonna how to vogue and performed the infamous “Like A Virgin” number with her during the tour.
Salim “Slam” Gauwloos -Born in a small Flemish town by Belgian-Moroccan parents, Salim made an impression in “Truth or Dare” by kissing fellow dancer Gabriel Trupin – the first gay kiss ever to be shown in a major movie. It is only lately that he has come to see what both the tour and “Truth or Dare” have meant to people around the world: “We helped the world to come out of the closet!”
Kevin Stea – Only when another dancer was kicked off the tour by Madonna was Kevin asked to come on board as a dancer and dance captain. He now sees the tour as both his coming-of-age and coming-out party. Kevin has worked with stars like Prince, Beyoncé, Michael Jackson, Cher, David Bowie and Lady Gaga.
Gabriel Trupin – Gabriel, the most quiet and least outgoing of the dancers, died in San Francisco in 1995 at the age of 26, after losing a silent battle with AIDS. Gabriel kept his sickness a secret until he could no longer hide it from his mother and close relatives. When Gabriel heard that the famous “Truth or Dare” scene of him French-kissing with Slam was to be part of the film, he begged Madonna not to use it. When she did, he sued her for forced outing, and the case was settled out of court.
Jose Gutierez – Jose continued to work with Madonna for years after the Blond Ambition Tour and was featured in the “Justify My Love” video. Jose & Luis choreographed the “Vogue” video, resulting in a nomination for an MTV Award. Jose is still a renowned figure in the voguing scene and teaches it to LGBT youth in New York and worldwide. He recently contributed to the Baz Luhrmann series “The Get Down.”
Logo Documentary Films acquired the television rights to the film after the Tribeca Film Festival. The film was released earlier this year. Overseeing the television premiere for Logo’s documentary division is Pamela Post & Taj Paxton.
