THE WALKING DEAD: SEASON 9 | Own Rick Grimes’ Final Season When Season 9 Arrives on Blu-ray™ & DVD August 20th

twd s9 tt

AMC’s #1-Rated Cable Series Returns!

3d_rgb_thewalkingdeads9_bdocrdAn iconic pop-culture character says goodbye when Season 9 of “The Walking Dead” arrives on Blu-ray™ (plus Digital), DVD and Digital August 20 from Lionsgate. New showrunner Angela Kang takes the helm as Rick Grimes prepares to make his exit from one of the world’s most popular TV series.

“The Walking Dead” Season 9 stars award winner Andrew Lincoln (Love Actually, Heartbreaker), Norman Reedus (The Boondock Saints, Triple 9), Lauren Cohan (All Eyez on Me, TV’s “Whiskey Cavalier,” Mile 22), Danai Gurira (Black Panther, All Eyez on Me), Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Watchmen, TV’s “The Good Wife” and “Grey’s Anatomy”), and Academy Award ® nominee Samantha Morton (2003, Best Actress, In America).

Last season brought the culmination of “All Out War,” which pitted Rick Grimes and his group of survivors against the Saviors and their leader, Negan. With Negan’s life in his hands, Rick had a character-defining choice in front of him, and he spared Negan to uphold the values his late son, Carl, championed – values that created conflict within his group. Now, with our survivors rebuilding civilization under Rick’s leadership a year and a half after the end of the war, it’s a time of relative peace among the communities. However, the world they knew is rapidly changing, nature is literally taking over, and, as time passes, the communities confront unexpected obstacles and danger. But nothing can prepare them for the formidable force they’re about to encounter, threatening the very idea of civilization our survivors have worked so hard to build. The home entertainment release of “The Walking Dead” Season 9 includes multiple making-of featurettes, including a look at the memorable deaths of the season, deleted scenes, and a bonus scene. “The Walking Dead” Season 9 Blu-ray and DVD will be available for the suggested retail price of $80.99 and $70.98, respectively.

Award-Winning Original Series “VIDA” Earns Third Season On STARZ

AWARD-WINNING ORIGINAL SERIES

“VIDA”

EARNS THIRD SEASON ON STARZ

“’Vida’ is an important series — for representation, for diversity, for women”
– IndieWire

“It has a setting and a language that are its own, elevating a very good show to something quite vital.”
– The Hollywood Reporter

Starz COO Jeffrey Hirsch announced today that the STARZ Original series “Vida” from Executive Producer and showrunner Tanya Saracho (“How to Get Away With Murder,” “Looking,” “Girls”) has been picked up for a third season.

“It is a rarity in television today to have a series earn this level of critical praise for two consecutive seasons and spark cultural conversation in the way that ‘Vida’ has,” said Hirsch. “We are proud to continue to tell this story with Tanya and the incredible cast and crew she has assembled.”

Winner of the 2019 GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Comedy series and earning 100% on Rotten Tomatoes for both seasons, “Vida” was created by Tanya Saracho, who executive produces alongside Big Beach TV’s Robin Schwartz, Peter Saraf and Marc Turtletaub with Stephanie Langhoff.

“Vida’s” Hispanic audience has grown 56% compared to the same period in Season 1,* giving it the highest Hispanic audience composition among premium scripted series in 2019 (Live+3).** Additionally, STARZ Hispanic subs have grown 17% since the series premiered in May 2018*** and the number of new customers who watched “Vida” season two on the app in the first seven days was almost double year over year.

“’Vida’ isn’t special only because it’s putting underrepresented American stories onscreen. It’s special because it’s doing it so well, mining the epic drama and the discrete experiences of its characters’ lives to create something that’s elaborate, distinct, and beautiful all at the same time.” – The Atlantic

In the second season of “Vida,” Lyn and Emma begin the monumental task of rebuilding their mother’s business while navigating financial constraints, competing developers, and the growing anti-gentrification movement. Lyn and Emma must contemplate the relationships in their lives, including their own, and are forced to dig deep to unearth what their mother’s legacy means to them.

“Vida” stars Melissa Barrera (“Club de Cuervos” and upcoming features In the Heights and Carmen) as Lyn, Mishel Prada (“Fear The Walking Dead: Passage”) as Emma, Ser Anzoategui (“East Los High”) as Eddy, Chelsea Rendon (Bright) as Marisol, Carlos Miranda (The Bling Ring) as Johnny, and Roberta Colindrez (“I Love Dick”) as Nico.

Senior Vice President of Original Programming Kathryn Tyus-Adair is the Starz executive in charge of “Vida.”

Franky G continues to be excited playing Poncho in season 5 of POWER

Written by Jesus Figueroa

With a brilliant season full of incredible guest stars and a great continuing cast, Franky G had the opportunity to work with talented cast members.

Franky G said he wished he would have been able to work with more of the cast because they are so fantastic, but he was only able to work with a few.

Many amazing guest stars popped up on POWER season 5.

The guest stars brought even more incredible talent to the cast. Guest stars allow regular cast to be able to work off a new energy which allows for different performances.

Franky G said that sometimes he found it amazing that so many big name talent would be featured in episodes.

Guest stars were more than just actors, rappers were part of the guest stars and sometimes those performances were among the most impactful.

The show has made its notoriety and proven to be culturally relevant with the amount of guest stars it features.

Franky G said it was an amazing experience with the guest stars, both getting to perform with them and just seeing them on set.

Despite this season being spectacular to watch, Franky G said he thinks every season he gets to participate on “POWER” is incredible. Just being on set is exciting because rod how incredible the show is.

Estranged sisters Emma (Mishel Prada), a successful lawyer in Chicago, always pragmatic and career focused, and Lyn (Melissa Barrera), a flaky Yoga loving Vegan relying on her looks and other people’s money to get by, return home to their historically Mexican neighborhood in the  Eastside of Los Angeles when their mother suddenly dies.

Discovering a surprising truth about their mother’s identity, Lyn and Emma, who have clashing coping skills, confront their loss, relationship, old neighborhood friends and the mismanagement of the family business, unspooling old childhood traumas and hard truths.

“Vida” is a never-before-seen contemporary portal into a multi-generational Latinx neighborhood exploring complex narratives and an intersecting range of issues including sexual, cultural and spiritual identity, class and race, all under the gaze of fast changes and growing conflicts with gentrification.

In Season 1, the girls learned the truth. In the second season, they face reality as Lyn and Emma begin the monumental task of rebuilding their mother’s business while navigating financial constraints, competing developers, and the growing anti-gentrification movement.

Lyn and Emma must contemplate the relationships in their lives, including their own, and are forced to dig deep to unearth what their mother’s legacy means to them.  Ser Anzoategui, Chelsea Rendon, Carlos Miranda and Roberta Colindrez also star; Raúl Castillo guest stars.

Grasslands are home to the biggest stars of the animal kingdom, but top billing doesn’t make life here any easier.

The wildernesses are among the most volatile environments on Earth, where animals must endure an ever-shifting rollercoaster journey through freeze, fire, flood and drought.

Now, seasons are becoming more extreme and unpredictable.

Life is harder than ever for the wildlife featured in this episode of “Hostile Planet,” including bull elephants clashing in mating battles; the predator-and-prey dance between cheetahs and gazelles in the depths of the Kenyan savanna; a herd of bison battling a blizzard in the North American plains; and a huge pack of wolves in pursuit of them.
