The world’s most notorious rock band, Mötley Crüe announces the release of The Dirt Soundtrack that accompanies the upcoming Netflix Film The Dirt, based on the New York Times best-selling 2001 autobiography by Mötley Crüe and Neil Strauss. The soundtrack and film are set to release March 22nd worldwide.

SYNOPSIS: The upcoming Netflix Film The Dirt is an unflinching and uncensored story about sex, drugs, rock ‘n’ roll, fame, and the high price of excess. Director Jeff Tremaine (JACKASS co-creator) shows us just how Nikki Sixx (Douglas Booth), Mick Mars (Iwan Rheon), Tommy Lee (Colson Baker), and Vince Neil (Daniel Webber) took Mötley Crüe from the Sunset Strip to the world stage, and what it meant to become the world’s most notorious rock band.

The Dirt Soundtrack includes four brand new songs and is available for pre-order now through Mötley Records and Eleven Seven Music. The pre-order offers an instant download of the single, ‘The Dirt (Est. 1981) (feat. Machine Gun Kelly)’ HERE and check out the official music video HERE that includes behind the scenes footage. Additionally, exclusive to the film and soundtrack, you can find The Dirt inspired merch bundles HERE.

The 18-song soundtrack mastered by GRAMMY winner, Dave Donnelly features a collection of Mötley Crüe classics that meaningfully underscore significant moments that shape the film. The album includes 14 fan-favourites and chart topping tracks such as ‘Dr. Feelgood’ that charted at #6 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and the anthemic ‘Girls, Girls, Girls’ which reached #2 on Billboard’s Top 200 amongst others. Additional hits featured are ‘Kickstart My Heart’, ‘Same Ol’ Situation (S.O.S.)’, ‘Shout At The Devil’ and the iconic ballad, ‘Home Sweet Home’ that landed the band mainstream recognition.

Exclusive to the film’s soundtrack, Mötley Crüe recorded four new songs featuring the single, ‘The Dirt (Est. 1981) (feat. Machine Gun Kelly)’ with effortless rap verses surrounding signature guitar riffs. The three remaining songs conclude the album with the catchy ‘Ride With The Devil’, ‘Crash And Burn’ and the band’s own spin on Madonna’s, ‘Like A Virgin’.

“During the filming of our movie we got excited and inspired to write new music. Getting back in the studio with Bob Rock just fuelled the creative fires for us. To me, the music sounds like classic Mötley. The lyrics were written for the movie and are a reflection of our life.”          – Nikki Sixx

ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM

 ‘SALVATION’
NEW SINGLE OUT NOW

EUROPEAN HEADLINE DATES IN MARCH

The Strumbellas have announced their fourth album, Rattlesnake, out March 29th via Glassnote Records. Last week the band released the video for ‘Salvation’, the first single to be taken from the album.

Rattlesnake marks a stylistic turn from their melancholy, introspective releases, to an uplifting album with songs that focus more on optimism. Produced by Tim Pagnotta (Elle King, Walk the Moon), co-produced and engineered by Brian Phillips, the album was recorded on the band’s home turf, at the legendary Bathouse Recording Studio outside of Kingston, Ontario, and at Revolution Recording in Toronto.

The nine-track body of work is the sunny side of the street follow-up to The Strumbellas’ Billboard-charting third album, Hope, which featured the hit single ‘Spirits’.

“Well, after the last tour, Izzy had a baby, I got an English Bulldog, Darryl travelled to Bali, Jon built a cottage, Jer drove all the way across Canada in his 85’ Camper Van, Dave grew a mustache and we made an album that we are REALLY proud of,” commented Simon Ward. “Everyone in the band is SO excited to get back on the road to show everyone some new music.”

The release of Rattlesnake will come after a string of European headline shows, including a show at London’s Bush Hall on the 25th, and will be followed by an extensive US headline tour starting on the 1st May. Full European dates can be found below.

The Strumbellas are Simon Ward (vocals, acoustic guitar), David Ritter (keys), Jeremy Drury (percussion), Isabel Ritchie (strings), Jon Hembrey (guitar) and Darryl James (bass).

In 2017, they won the iHeartRadio Music award for Best New Alternative Rock Artist of the Year, and collected the JUNO Award for Single of the Year in their native Canada ahead of Drake, The Weeknd and Shawn Mendes.

From the onset the band received critical praise from the press, including from The New York Times, who said “The Strumbellas have perfected a story arc that’s summed up in the title of their new album ‘Hope,” and Forbes, who declared “The Strumbellas aren’t just taking on the US, they are taking on the world.”
