SCREAM QUEEN STREAM – Baby Food Challenge

Written by Jesus Figueroa (@Thisfunktional)

“Scream Queen Stream” with Jessica Cameron and Heather Dorff with special Guest Lisa Ovies decide to torture their tastebuds by taking a winner takes nothing BABY FOOD CHALLENGE.

Check out the gagging and disgusted faces which ensue.

At the very least you get to see three grown, beautiful women trying what seems to be some of the most disgusting organic vegetarian friendly baby food, which Heather Dorff bought.

Each baby food container is either a single ingredient, two ingredient or three ingredient meal which mothers feed to their children.

The challenge was to guess as many of the ingredients in the containers. Each correct guess earned one point and there is no penalty for an incorrect guess.

Who guessed the most correct? Who had the funniest response? Who found a loophole to the way they guessed?

Check out this funny “Scream Queen Stream” and find out.

The Vampire Diaries – Season 8 Finale Review – “I Was Feeling Epic” [podcast] #TVDforever #TVD

img_6055

Hey everyone!

How are your emotions holding up after the EPIC series finale of our favorite show…The Vampire Diaries? Keisha and I got together to talk about our thoughts on the special 2-hour event and how the show has impacted our lives. You can listen to our podcast below and feel free to let us know what the show has done for you!

Personally, I started watching the show late in the game when it was on Netflix, but I’ve watched it live for the past few seasons now. I’ve met so many incredible friends at the TVD conventions, I’ve had the privilege of being in Covington, GA (aka Mystic Falls) for two season premieres and I just have so many great memories that I wouldn’t have it I hadn’t started watching. Meeting the cast and knowing that these characters we’ve fallen in love with over the past eight years genuinely care about the fans and are actually incredible people on and off screen makes me so PROUD to be a fan.

Here are a few of the photos from the conventions and my trips to Mystic Falls:

Thank you to Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson for creating a show that we’ve loved for the past eight years. Thank you to the writers who delivered incredible storylines time and time again. & to the wonderful cast…thank you for giving us characters we could root for, feel for, and for being great human beings on and off our television screens.

The show was wrapped up perfectly, tragically and beautifully & we thank you!

Sci-Fi movie “Arrival” finds a way to connect audiences with a story that seems unique, told in a fantastic way and in a less than common way.

These elements brought together screenwriter Eric Heisserer, producer Dan Lavine, producer David Linde and producer Aaron Ryder who all were captivated by the story.

“From one producer meeting to the next, anytime they asked if there was a piece of source material that I wanted and I said this and I said it’s a short it’s the sci-fi movie I’ve been wanting to make all my life,” Heisserer said.

Although the story’s pace is slow, the content of the story is captivating and enticing enough to keep the audiences’ eyes glued to the screen and the time to fly by.

Few stories have such complexity in a universal manner where everyone who watches can take something away from it.

The story and the way it’s told gives the audience a distinct intelligent view into a thought provoking story.

“As a producer or executive or the many hats that I wore in my life, I’m very interested in distinction. I think today I’m very interested in what makes things distinct because audiences demand it,” Linde said. “With the exceptions of Marvel, Star Wars and these big things that are distinct within their own genres, so to speak, I think the audiences demand to know ‘what is it that’s going to be distinct for me.'”

Subtleties in the script keep everything focused on the story and it’s themes.

The producers, writer and director took great care in such a passionate project.

Every part of this project and everyone involved seemed to bring their own ideas which mesh together well in the focus of making this story great.

“I have to give a ton of credit to Eric Heisserer who devised the language being circular. In the story it’s not circular, but he came up with that theme,” Lavine said. “He actually, in all the scripts he had a rudimentary of what the logograms looked like. They were a little bit more techie, but it was the idea that Denis and our production designer Patrice Vermette worked off of. We loved that idea, there are moments where you see the girl with the stick in the water and it’s kind of circular, it’s trough out and it really connected.”

Already this film has been deemed one of the best films of the year so far, with a 100 percent fresh rating on RottenTomatoes.com.

From the adamant insistence from the producers to do justice to such an original, emotional and powerful short story to everyone involved having a focused vision on how to make the movie stand out, even with a limited budget.

“Arrival is one of the most exciting films I’ve ever been involved with, to be honest with you. Here’s what’s exciting about it. It feels perfect for right now,” Ryder said. “It’s a movie about communications in an era when its complicated right now, in a complicated world about communication and miscommunication and misinterpretation, that’s perfect for right now.”

“Arrival” is out in theaters on Nov. 11.

Filled with Exhilarating Dares and Electrifying Exploits the Adrenaline-Fueled Thriller Arrives on Blu-rayTM & DVD October 25 from Lionsgate

Emma Roberts (TV’s “Scream Queens”) and Dave Franco (Now You See Me franchise) star in Nerve, the suspense-filled romantic thriller for the Millennial generation, arriving on Digital HD on October 11 and on Blu-ray Combo Pack (plus DVD and Digital HD), DVD (plus Digital) and On Demand October 25 from Lionsgate. Directed by Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman (Catfish) with a screenplay by Jessica Sharzer (TV’s “American Horror Story”), Nerve captures the phenomenon of today’s social media climate where thousands of anonymous voices can determine the future of a few individuals. The film also features cameos from social media sensations The Fat Jewish, Arielle Vandenberg and Casey Neistat.

Industrious high school senior Vee (Emma Roberts) is tired of living life on the sidelines. Pressured by friends to join the popular online game Nerve, Vee teams up with a sly and charming competitor (Dave Franco) for just one dare in what seems like harmless fun. But as Vee is caught up in the thrill of the adrenaline-fueled competition, the game takes a sinister turn with increasingly dangerous acts, leading Vee into a high-stakes finale that will determine her entire future.

The Nerve Blu-ray Combo Pack and Digital HD give viewers the unique opportunity to experience being a WATCHER or a PLAYER. Upon launching the special features, viewers will choose either WATCHER or PLAYER mode. In WATCHER mode go behind the scenes with 15 “Creating Nerve” pods exploring the making of the film, “The Fat Jewish Gets Tattewish” featuring outtakes from Josh Ostrovsky (aka internet personality ‘The Fat Jewish’) in the tattoo shop, and “The Governor’s Ball Takeover” chronicling a game of dare played at the 2016 Governor’s Ball in New York.

Additionally, thrill-seeking viewers can choose the interactive PLAYER mode with an “Are You a Watcher or a Player” interactive quiz, the “Do You Have the Nerve?” Game, for viewers looking for more of an adrenaline rush and Player Profiles of the top six Nerve players. The Nerve Blu-ray also includes an immersive DTS:X audio track that replicates and conveys the fluid movement of sound to create a richer soundscape than previously possible by moving sound to precisely where the mixer placed it. The Nerve DVD includes only the content featured in the WATCHER mode. Nerve will be available on Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD for $39.99 and $29.95, respectively.

The Vampire Diaries – S8|E1: “Hello, Brother” Review

Season 8 | Episode 1

Hey everyone! Welcome back to what is regrettably the final season of The Vampire Diaries. Keisha and I got together earlier to discuss the premiere episode and what our predictions are for the rest of the season.

I had the pleasure of watching the premiere episode in Covington, GA, where they film The Vampire Diaries and it was incredible. Being able to have lunch at the Mystic Grill, stand in front of the clocktower and watch the episode with a huge group of fans was a great experience. If you can ever make it out to Covington, pay Jessica a visit at Vampire Stalkers: Mystic Falls Tours. You can visit her website and book a tour to see filming locations from the show. I’ll be posting pictures from the tour I took with my best friends, and also more about the experience of being in Georgia for the premiere, so look out for that.

Check out our podcast review of the episode below and let us know what you thought! You can follow me on Twitter at @ThisIsKristin_ and Keisha at @Keishamaze.

SYNOPSIS: Stefan continues his search for Damon and Enzo months after they vanished from the armory vault; Caroline and Alaric fear for their family after a dangerous encounter with an unexpected visitor.
