We finally get a quick glimpse of what’s to come for John Wick in this third installment of the John Wick film series. Lionsgate has released the poster (which looks so good!) where we see Wick on the outside of The Continental looking in.

SYNOPSIS: In this third installment of the adrenaline-fueled action franchise, super-assassin John Wick (Reeves) returns with a $14 million price tag on his head and an army of bounty-hunting killers on his trail. Ladies and gentlemen, Netflix has finally announced an official release date for Season 3 of STRANGER THINGS! While our favorite kids will be in 1985, we’ll be able to enjoy the third season in its entirety on July 4, 2019 via Netflix.

The teaser trailer and release date were available at midnight New Year’s Eve, which is a nice little tie in with the teaser.

Are there any theories or predictions about what will happen in Season 3?? What are you most excited for? I’m still amazed at how Steve became one of our favorite characters lol.

Addictive New App: DOLLIFY

I’ve been following an artist, David Alvarez, on IG (dave.xp) for quite some time and I absolutely love his work. He basically uses Photoshop to draw doll versions of celebrities and some of his followers. Sometimes he holds contests on Fridays where he randomly chooses one of his followers to draw.

There were so many times where I hoped my name would be announced, but alas, it was not. Imagine my excitement when he announced that he was developing an app (iOS: Dollify) where we could make our own! You can choose skin tone, eye color, hair color, clothing, jewelry, freckles/no freckles, etc. I wish I could say the possibilities are endless, but the app was just released this week, so things might be added in the future.

With the app’s free version, you can create a maximum of TWO dolls, but you can continue to edit them infinite times. OR, you can contribute to David’s hard work and pay the $6.99 in order to gain access to more options and an endless number of dolls.

Netflix holds India’s first-ever world premiere for a major Hollywood release

Mumbai hosted its first-ever global premiere for a major Hollywood film this week, as Netflix showcased Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle to an exclusive audience.

Director and actor Andy Serkis walked the red carpet with his fellow cast mates Christian Bale, Freida Pinto, Rohan Chand and Louis Ashbourne Serkis.

Anil Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit Nene and Kareena Kapoor Khan, who bring the much-loved characters to life in Hindi, also joined their international
cast mates at the premiere.

The Mumbai event marked the beginning of the Mowgli global tour, with screenings taking place in London and Los Angeles, before the movie premieres globally to Netflix members on December 7, 2018.

I caught the official teaser trailer for the live action version of THE LION KING last night and I can not wait until July 19, 2019! This is one of my favorite Disney movies of all time and I was a bit worried about how it would look as a live action movie. But this is on another level! I mean, seriously! Who hasn’t bawled their eyes out during THAT scene?? Can you imagine it in live action??? Disney, please let everyone know where we can send our therapy bills for payment. K, thanks, bye.

Universal Studios Hollywood have prepared for their #UniversalHolidays with Christmas in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, going on now through January 6, 2019 at Universal Studios Hollywood.

Visit “Christmas in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter,”which runs daily from November 17, 2018 through January 6, 2019 for an array of changes to the already magical Hogmade.

A nightly glistening snowfall to enhance yuletide spirits falls over the main street at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter with multiple snowfalls begin at 5:15 p.m. until the park closes.

The snowfall is enjoyable as visitors of the park get the opportunity to see snow fall in Los Angeles.

It may be a brief snowfall, but it is still incredible to experience and enhances the wonder which is already a part of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

A newly introduced holiday-themed fare and the addition of hot Butterbeer, which was introduced earlier this year, at Three Broomsticks makes for a wonderful dinner before enjoying the beautiful additions to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

The a cappella Frog Choir featuring Hogwarts students entertaining guests with their harmonized holiday themed songs perform and are great to watch before The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle light show.

The music by the a cappella Frog Choir is a fabulous show which every visitor of Universal can enjoy.

The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle dazzling light spectacular goes on nightly as Universal Studios celebrates the #UniversalHolidays at about 5:40 p.m., 6:00 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. (times may vary each night).

The light show at Hogwarts Castle is always breath-taking, but for the holidays it seems a bit more magical.

The Christmas time light show completes the package of Holiday treats, the video may show the light show, but there is nothing like being there in person and experiencing it first-hand.

Zoe Saldana’s Cinestar Pictures to Join Judging Panel for Voces Nuevas

Cine Sony, Sony Pictures Television’s premier movie channel for the bi-cultural U.S. Latino audience, and the National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP) announced the launch of Voces Nuevas, their inaugural short film contest for aspiring filmmakers throughout the U.S.  on November 13.

Through January 31, 2019, filmmakers age eighteen or over who reside in the U.S. are invited to submit short films from two to 20 minutes in length.

Judges reviewing submissions include actor and co-founder of Cinestar Pictures Zoe Saldana; Cinestar Pictures co-founders Cisely and Mariel Saldana; award-winning actor and producer Esai Morales; award-winning actress, producer and activist Lisa Vidal and senior creative executives from Sony Pictures Entertainment Worldwide Acquisitions and Screen Gems.

“Cine Sony is delighted to partner with NALIP to provide a platform to champion the talent and creativity of up-and-coming filmmakers in the U.S.,” Jeff Meier, Senior Vice President and General Manager, U.S. Networks, Sony Pictures Television, said. “On Cine Sony, we have a diverse array of entertainment content from comedies to action movies that reflects the varied interests of our Latino audience. The winner will also be awarded a scholarship to the 2019 NALIP Media Summit.

Universal Studios Hollywood is off to the races with its all-new “Running Universal,” a series of fun runs that kicks off with an energetic Minion–themed 5K on May 11, 2019.

The inaugural Minion Run, featuring Illumination’s mischievous Minions from the popular “Despicable Me Minion Mayhem” ride, invites participants ages five and older (of all experience levels) to wind their way around Universal Studios Hollywood and through parts of Universal Studios’ historic backlot, made famous in more than8,000 movies and television shows.

The run will give participants an unprecedented insider’s view of the Entertainment Capital of L.A.

Starting at Universal Studios Hollywood’s iconic front gates, participants will pass through some of the theme park’s immersive areas and attractions before winding their way along the historic backlot and into the magical world of movie-making as they head toward the finish line at CityWalk’s 5 Towers outdoor concert stage.

Along the 3.1 mile course, participants will be entertained by some of their favorite Universal Studios Hollywood characters including the Minions.

RALPH BREAKS THE INTERNET’s Sarah Silverman Receives Star On The Hollywood Walk of Fame

Sarah Silverman, who provides the voice of Vanellope von Schweetz in Walt Disney Animation Studios’ upcoming RALPH BREAKS THE INTERNET, received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on November 9th. Guest speakers John C. Reilly, who voices Ralph in the film, and Jimmy Kimmel were on hand at the event. Silverman’s star, the 2,649th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, can be found at 6600 Hollywood Boulevard in front of the Hollywood Toy & Costume Shop.

Alice in Chains have announced an extensive European tour for May and June 2019, following the release of their hugely acclaimed album Rainier Fog earlier this year, which became the band’s first Top 10 UK album, also hitting No. 1 on Billboard’s Rock, Alternative and Hard Music Charts and No. 1 on the iTunes Rock Album Chart.

Starting on May 23rd in Glasgow, the 14-date tour includes three UK shows, with a date at Birmingham’s Barclaycard Arena on the 24th and Wembley The SSE Arena on the 25th. These will be the biggest headline shows the band have played to date in the UK.

The event is set to be the largest youth-focused election party in the country and will feature performances by Fat Joe, PRETTYMUCH, DJ Nasty and Lauren Jauregui. The “Afterparty” kicks off when the polls close in Florida and will celebrate the efforts of young people across the nation getting out the vote.

“+1 the Vote” was created in order to harness the power of friendship and ignite the most powerful voting bloc in the country. As part of the final phase of the campaign, MTV and Civic Nation’s #VoteTogether – with support from “Grown-ish” star Yara Shahidi and “Eighteenx18” – partnered to supercharge youth voter participation by funding parties at the polls in all 50 states. The first party took place on October 20th in Fresno, CA, and attracted hundreds of young voters, and similar events are planned for the weeks leading to the “Election Afterparty.”

Additionally, the youth brand will roll out a series of new Spanish-language PSAs encouraging young people to register and vote, and launch an interactive election map profiling young candidates and activists across the country. MTV News launched its explainer series highlighting leading artists and celebrities breaking down the importance of the midterm elections – the first of which includes Olympic star Adam Rippon. They will continue to roll out videos through election night that will feature Macklemore, R&B Duo Chloe & Halle, and Lauren Jauregui.

MTV will harness the power of friendship and unveil “+1 the Vote,” its first-ever voter campaign to ignite the most powerful voting bloc in the country for the midterm elections.

Based on research which suggests that social influence is a strong motivator in voter turnout, the cornerstone of the campaign is the +1 the Vote Registration Tool, a first-of-its-kind digital experience which will allow young people to register to vote, identify which of their friends aren’t registered to vote, and encourage them to register and join them at the polls on November 6th. Additionally, MTV will encourage its audience to vote together by supercharging youth participation with more than 1,000 parties and events at the polls across all 50 states.

In the months leading up to the elections, “+1 the Vote” will expand to include content across MTV, its digital platforms, social channels; ongoing coverage from MTV News; and partnerships with leading artists and activists. MTV worked with a number of non-partisan organizations to bring “+1 the Vote” to life, including the Ford Foundation, Alliance for Youth Organizing, CIRCLE, part of Tisch College at Tufts University, Democracy Works’s TurboVote and #VoteTogether.

“+1 the Vote” was developed based on MTV/AP-NORC research showing that young people feel a renewed sense of empowerment in their ability to impact politics — 48% of 15-22-year-olds feel they have at least some effect on the government, up from 33% in March – and that friendship is a powerful driver of voter turnout. Additional MTV research found that that 76% of young people think inviting friends to the polling station is an effective way to encourage others to vote, while 70% think posting about voting on social media is also effective.

Lucky Brand Launches Queen Capsule Collection in Celebration of Twentieth Century Fox Film’s new movie, Bohemian Rhapsody

Lucky Brand announces their collaboration with Twentieth Century Fox Film and Bravado with a collection of seven vintage-inspired men’s and women’s Queen concert tees to celebrate the release of the new film, Bohemian Rhapsody, in theaters November 2nd.

The capsule, which launches on October 4th, will include four different Queen graphics for women on t-shirts including one long sleeve, crewneck sweatshirt. Men’s options will feature an additional three Queen graphics, one featuring Queen frontman and basis of the film, Freddie Mercury. Ranging from $39.50 to $79.50, the collection will be carried at select department stores including Macy’s, Dillard’s, Lord & Taylor and others, including specialty boutiques and online retailers such as Amazon and Zappos. The capsule will also be available at 156 Lucky Brand retail stores in the U.S. and Canada, as well as LuckyBrand.com.

In support of the movie release, Lucky Brand is partnering with Bohemian Rhapsody and Queen on store window takeovers across 135 retail doors.  In six top door locations, Lucky Brand windows will display iconic costume replicas as seen in the film. In the movie, video-game bad guy Ralph struggles with his evolving friendship with fellow misfit Vanellope von Schweetz. According to Imagine Dragons’ lead singer Dan Reynolds, the film’s emotional themes are reflected in the song “Zero.” “It’s a pretty timely movie in a lot of ways in that it addresses some of the issues of identity and loneliness unique to this internet generation,” says Reynolds. “Ralph’s internal struggle for self-acceptance really resonated with us, and this song speaks to that.”

Adds Moore, “It’s a bold choice for an end-credit song because it’s about someone who feels like a zero, someone who hasn’t always felt worthy, someone who’s allowed his entire sense of self to rely on a single friendship. When that friendship is threatened, there’s a lot of insecurity.”

“We can all relate to that feeling,” adds Johnston. “But the song tells us we’re not alone. They nailed the theme of the movie in a way that also makes you want to dance.”

Says Reynolds, “The song is a dichotomy in some ways, with sometimes heavy lyrics over pretty upbeat instrumentation. The result is a tone that is somewhat bittersweet, which felt appropriate given the complexity of Ralph as a character.”
