20th Century Fox has released the final trailer for DARK PHOENIX. To honor the passion of X-Men superfans, some of the biggest X-Men fans around the world were selected to experience the final trailer first. Now that they have received it, we can share it with you!

The film stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Evan Peters, and Jessica Chastain, and is scored by composer Hans Zimmer.

SYNOPSIS: This is the story of one of the X-Men’s most beloved characters, Jean Grey, as she evolves into the iconic DARK PHOENIX. During a life-threatening rescue mission in space, Jean is hit by a cosmic force that transforms her into one of the most powerful mutants of all. Wrestling with this increasingly unstable power as well as her own personal demons, Jean spirals out of control, tearing the X-Men family apart and threatening to destroy the very fabric of our planet. The film is the most intense and emotional X-Men movie ever made. UK & EU TOUR STARTS THIS MONTH

The King’s Parade have released their brand new EP Mad. To mark the release the critically acclaimed London four-piece have revealed the video for their latest single ‘Mistakes’.

The ‘Mistakes’ video follows the touching story of a man on a deserted beach; while metal detecting he uncovers various items that trigger fantasy fuelled visions of a past love.

Regarding the video frontman Olly Corpe says, “The video explores how a past choice can haunt someone later in life. We wanted to push this idea to the extreme, blurring the boundaries between reality and fiction throughout the narrative to create a surreal atmosphere. I think that filming the video in one continuous shot helped to make the transitions between fact and fiction uncannily seamless, while simultaneously magnifying the raw emotions of the protagonist.”

‘Mistakes’ is taken from the brand new EP Mad, which opens with the huge anthemic lead single and title track. The rest of the EP weaves between touching, soulful moments and passionate outbursts of sonic energy amid graceful melodies, captivating harmonies and enthralling songwriting.

‘Mistakes’ and ‘Mad’ have received great support from tastemakers including the likes of BBC 6Music, BBC Introducing and Clash Magazine.

Regarding the EP Olly says, “This EP feels like another step up from everything we’ve done in the past, and has allowed us to test the waters in terms of our sound.  All the songs on the EP share the common theme of longing for the past but in a way we’ve never been so excited for the future.” 

The King’s Parade kicked off their headline tour in support of the Mad EP last night in Madrid and will play a further 10-dates across the UK and Europe. Full tour dates can be found below:

NY-based indie pop rock band SWIM have released their new single “The Chase,” out on all digital platforms NOW. The track, a fun and energetic piece written collectively by the band, blends together various elements of mainstream pop, rock, and indie. “The Chase” is quite nostalgic, speaking of personal doubt in a relationship, while also piecing together each band members’ instrumentation to create a sleek, cool fusion. About the single, the band states:

The Chase was written by all members of the band, slowly coming together as they wrote each section of the song. The song speaks to uncertainty and doubt that one may feel in a relationship, while struggling to make it through. What started as a simple chord progression would be recorded and polished over the course of the year to become the version that is released today.

SWIM is an indie pop-rock band established in Stony Brook, New York. Voted one of the Top 10 bands on Long Island during the summer of 2017 in Newsday’s Band Battle, SWIM has been active at venues across Long Island since 2015, following the release of their first, self-titled EP, even performing at notable local venues like 89 North (Patchogue), Revolution (Amityville), and the Rainbow Stage at Heckscher State Park. The Head And The Heart have shared the video for ‘Missed Connection’, the first track taken from their upcoming album Living Mirage, out May 17th via Parlophone Records/Reprise Records.

Featuring footage filmed in Joshua Tree, where the band came together before starting work on Living Mirage, the video follows the release of the ‘Missed Connection’ single in March, and comes after the release of their latest single, ‘Honeybee’, last Friday.

The palpitating-choral ‘Missed Connection’ is a poignant snapshot of the anxiety that preceded that growth spurt. “A lot of the beats on that song are quicker, and there are high hats that were never in our music before”, drummer Tyler Williams says, attributing the new sounds to their love of pop and hip-hop production. The track began as a remembrance of how Jon met his girlfriend, until morphing into a potent metaphor for the band — who met serendipitously around an open-mic night in Seattle 10 years ago — suddenly wondering, as he recalls, “Is it all going to work?”

Living Mirage lives up to its title, a shapeshifting fever dream of unease, angst, and ultimately hope. “This is literally the most work we’ve ever done on an album”, the band’s Jon Russell remarks, proudly.

The Head And The Heart will embark on an extensive 38-date US tour starting in June, following the release of their upcoming fourth album Living Mirage next month.

I am so excited about this particular post. Avengers: Infinity War was one of my favorites, despite so many of our favorites turning to dust. UGHHHH. I can’t wait to see where they take this because, I mean, the universe simply can’t stay this way.

Marvel Studios released 32 character posters yesterday that are absolutely incredible! The release of these posters marks the one month countdown for the release of AVENGERS: ENDGAME, which hits theaters April 26th.

SYNOPSIS: After the devastating events of Avengers: Infinity War (2018), the universe is in ruins. With the help of remaining allies, the Avengers assemble once more in order to undo Thanos’ actions and restore order to the universe.

What were your thoughts when you first saw these posters? I loved the creativity of it all. We usually don’t get this many characters posters, but with a cast like this, I guess it was inevitable. I love how the ones we lost in Avengers: Infinity War are in black & white. From a creative perspective, I thought that was awesome! But we’re gonna need all of those restored to full color, thank you very much!

I seriously can not wait to see this in the theater!

What’s up, movie lovers?

It’s been a while since my brothers and I made plans to catch a movie together, but the release of Motley Crue & Netflix’s THE DIRT seemed like an appropriate time to change that! Let me give you just a little bit of backstory before I get into my review of the movie.

My brothers and I are all 4 years apart and I’m the youngest of three. My oldest brother has been the biggest Motley Crue fan since his teenage years, but we weren’t far behind. In 2008 I’d been laid off from my job, I had just found out that my best friend slept with the guy I was with & I was just an overall hot mess. My brother had never seen Motley live before, but he gave me his ticket to Crue Fest without a second thought. It was only natural that I repay his generosity by buying the three of us tickets to see them live TWICE after that, including seeing their Farewell Tour with our niece. The three of us had also read the book years ago, so we pretty much knew what to expect from the movie. (Side note: I’ve always had a little crush on Nikki, so there you have it.)

With that being said, the three of us made plans for a family movie night to catch THE DIRT on Netflix and we were all super stoked about it! Especially considering the fact that Motley served as producers and we all know that if something was fabricated or came across badly, Nikki would make those changes prior to the release lol.

Here’s the official synopsis of the movie:

In this unflinching biopic based on Motley Crue’s best-selling book, four LA misfits navigate the monster highs and savage lows of music superstardom.

First, I want to talk about the casting for the movie. Colson Baker (aka Machine Gun Kelly) as Tommy Lee was absolutely PERFECT. It actually felt like we were watching Tommy act out his past. Everything from their build to their mannerisms were spot-on, so kudos to Colson for his performance.

The other guys (Douglas Booth as Nikki Sixx, Iwan Rheon as Mick Mars and Daniel Webber as Vince Neil) were great as well. Admittedly, I had a little bit of a harder time believing Daniel Webber to be Vince, but he definitely had Vince’s on-stage mannerisms down. That might be partly because I’ve seen interviews with the others guys talking about their preparation and everything, but Daniel Webber hasn’t really done any press. My opinion of him in this movie has nothing to do with his acting skills though because he was great in The Punisher! It’s just difficult to portray someone so well known. Either way, you can tell that the guys all did their research on the OG’s to get this right.

I had looked up critic reviews before watching the movie myself and what I saw was awful. After watching it though, I have to disagree with their reviews. There were some things about the movie that I wasn’t particularly a fan of, but it wasn’t the debauchery that the band caused and lived through. That’s part of their story and all of what makes them Motley Crue. What I wasn’t a fan of were some of the transitions throughout the movie. I know it’s hard to take a 431-page book and almost 40 years together and make it into a 2 hour movie. But, at one point, they went from playing little club shows to playing arenas with no in between on how they got there. There was also the part where it seemed like a snarky comment from Nikki resulted in their owning their own music, but I’m sure it was much more detailed than that. It was little transitional things like that that seemed off to me. I guess it boils down to just wanting to see more. Maybe it could’ve been like a two-part movie, or like a mini-series or something.

That doesn’t take away from the quality of the movie though. THE DIRT transports you back to the 80s and definitely had great production value. What critics failed to take away from the movie is that this movie  is about a band that was determined to play music their way and overcame some horrible situations over the course of their years together. Their story of success and debauchery is horrific and legendary at the same time, but these are 4 guys who went through the craziest of times and lived to tell the tale. Fans have loved seeing important moments from the band’s lives being played out on-screen, so that’s what matters most. The bottom line is that critics have always criticized Motley, but look at them now! They own their music, they have a book, a film adaptation of that book, and their music is back at the top of the charts. Seems like they’re doing alright for themselves! Plus, they still have loyal fans that are loving every second of their success.

If you’re a fan of the band, the guys as individuals, the 80s or just music and movies in general, I would recommend checking this out when you can. It’s gritty, it has moments that make you laugh and it makes you proud, as a fan, to watch the craziness that tried to take Motley away but failed! Lucky for us!

X Ambassadors are coming to the UK next month to play a headline show at London’s Scala on April 29th. It will be the award-winning trio’s only UK show forming part of their European run in May.

Having started the year off by releasing their funky, indie pop-rock banger ‘BOOM’, they’ve now shared the yellow and black soaked video, which was directed by award-winning filmmaker and actor Tess Elliot.

Co-written by the band and produced by Ricky Reed (Twenty One Pilots, Leon Bridges), ‘BOOM’  is a song about recovery and personal revolutions. As it’s beat rocks, personal demons and toxic relationships recede in the rearview mirror and the accompanying video depicts this strong message.

The artwork for the track is written in Braille and designed in a yellow-on-black colourway. For Casey Harris, the band’s keyboardist and Sam Harris’ brother, who was born blind, it is the first physical manifestation of his work that he has been able to experience visually and is creatively re-interpreted in the video with the use of lights.

Having clocked-up over 4.3 million streams on Spotify, ‘BOOM’ is a popping, lyrically resilient track and an exciting taster of what to expect from their upcoming album due later this year.

The eagerly anticipated second installment is the follow-up to the 2015 gold-certified, breakthrough album VHS, which spawned the multi-platinum selling singles ‘Renegades’ and ‘Unsteady’ and led the band into the mainstream consciousness and a global touring frenzy.

The band have collaborated with a number of top name artists from Imagine Dragons, Tom Morello, Eminem, Jamie N Commons, Lil Wayne and Wiz Khalifa to the likes of Machine Gun Kelly last year on the track ‘Home’ ft. Bebe Rexha.

Formed of brothers Sam and Casey Harris alongside drummer Adam Levin, X Ambassadors’ superb live performances took UK audiences by storm and in 2017 appeared at Reading and Leeds festivals performing to a pack-out crowd on the Radio 1/NME before selling out their headline show at London’s ULU. Last year they returned to London’s Brixton Electric during their massive three-month voyage across the US and Europe and are thrilled to be back in the city next month for another incredible show at the Scala.

SYNOPSIS: Jess (Sandra Echeverria) is a talented, high-powered marketing executive at an upscale tequila company who falls for Hank (Jaime Camil), a charismatic mattress store owner she meets while shopping for a new bed. Hank’s charm and good looks convince Jess he is “Mr. Right,” but Hank hasn’t been completely open with Jess- Hank suffers from a variety of issues for which he takes an endless assortment of medications. On the night Hank decides to reveal his issues to Jess, she surprises him with an invite to accompany her on a work retreat to a remote island resort. Surprised by the suddenness of this next step in their relationship, he decides to keep his secret a little longer. When the new couple arrives to the island, Hank is horrified to discover that he left his meds behind and is no longer able hide his various symptoms. What is supposed to be a tropical “business and pleasure” trip begins to spiral out of control, and Hank goes from a handsome charmer to an erratic loudmouth- at the cost of Jess not only losing out an overdue promotion, but her job! Jess and Hank face the ultimate couple’s test- learning what it means to be madly in love.

IMG_7680Hannah Grace has released her new single ‘The Bed You Made’ through Never Fade Records. The track is the first to be taken from her new EP of the same name, out April 5th ahead of her headline shows in London and Cardiff, and was featured in Spotify’s New Music Friday today.

Subtle, minimal instrumentation provides the backdrop for Hannah’s incredible and emotive vocals on ‘The Bed You Made’. The soft piano tones accompany rich, moving vocal crescendos, which accentuate the track’s touching lyrics. The video for the single is filmed from the perspective of Hannah’s ex, following her in a continuous shot while she explains how she’ll be better on her own.

“I wrote ‘The Bed You Made’ after being hurt by someone I loved,” says Hannah. “It is definitely the most honest and raw song I’ve ever written and I’m actually a little nervous to share it with the world, but writing the song helped me to reach the conclusion that I am ok on my own. Heartbreak is hard, but ultimately I think if we are good to ourselves we’ll be alright in the end. So, this song is for anyone who’s been cheated on by an ex, I hope this song can give you the courage to be okay on your own.“

Throughout the rest of the EP, Hannah’s incredible vocal abilities take centre stage amid minimalist musicality, with stripped back and raw production echoing its lyrical content. The result is a moving and timeless collection of tracks that ranges between the uplifting and gloriously cathartic. The EP was co-written with her friends and collaborators Martin Luke Brown, Gabrielle Aplin and Jessica Sharman.

‘The Bed You Made’ follows the release of previous singles ‘With You’ and ‘Oh River’, both of which proved hits at radio, with plays from both Dermot O’Leary on his Radio 2 show and BBC Radio Wales respectively. She’s also appeared on The Chris Evans Breakfast Show and Zoe Ball’s ITV programme, in addition to a slot at the BBC Biggest Weekend for Radio 2 in Perth, Scotland.

Hannah Grace closed 2018 with the release of the collaborative Christmas EP December alongside Gabrielle Aplin. The lead single and title track featured on 14 ‘New Music Friday’ Spotify playlists, and was spotlighted in the UK and US Top 10, as well as being played on Radio 2. The EP also featured three beautiful covers of classic Christmas tracks.

Hannah first caught the attention of Never Fade label owner Gabrielle Aplin through her covers uploaded onto YouTube. Her covers have since gone on to win over even more high profile supporters and Gabrielle signed her to Never Fade Records, which is distributed worldwide by AWAL.

In 2017 Hannah garnered praise from Lady Gaga after posting a cover of her hit ‘Million Reasons’, which provoked Gaga to tweet the video and call Hannah a “superstar”. Meanwhile in the same year her cover of ‘Praise You’ soundtracked the Lloyds Bank TV advert and clocked up over 3 million streams.

‘The Bed You Made’ is the latest taste of brand new music from Hannah, with her show stopping performance setting the precedent for the year ahead when she is set to turn even more heads.

Electronic alt rock band VISTA have released an acoustic version of their 2018 single “Born For Blood,” available on YouTube NOW. The single, released in September 2018, is VISTA’s most recently released track.

An electronically-tinged alternative rock band, NY-based outfit VISTA originally formed in late 2015. Comprised of lead vocalist Hope Vista and guitarist Greg Almeida, the band combines both modern alternative rock and electronic influences to create their unique anthemic sound. VISTA released their debut 4-track EP “VERSUS” shortly after their original inception, in which their debut single “On The Brink” debuted worldwide on idobi radio. Their name hasn’t been shy in the press, since; the band has garnered praise from outlets such as Alternative Press, Rock Sound, Substream, and AXS.

Throughout 2017, VISTA has supported Fueled By Ramen artist Against The Current at Irving Plaza, gained idobi rotation with their single “Henchmen,” an anti-oppression anthem, and completed two headlining tours. Their most recent 7-track EP, “Long Live,” released in July 2017, centralizes around the theme of finding an oasis in a dystopian society. “Long Live” immediately made its’ way onto three different iTunes charts and sparked the completion of two US tours, in August and November, respectively. Most recently in 2018, VISTA released 2 singles “Witch Hunt” and “Born For Blood,” both produced by ZK Productions), completed their third US tour “The Bloodlust Tour,” played a date of the Vans Warped Tour, and played multiple support dates with Set It Off. “Witch Hunt” premiered worldwide on idobi radio, quickly garnering 130,000 Spotify streams, and earned video rotation in Journeys’ stores nationwide.

Inspired by the success and recent popularity of high-end film work covering the processes of artists and craftsmen Celebrity hired a team of filmmakers, Artex Productions, to dig deeper into the story and to create a more beautiful experience for viewers, one that paralleled the experience of being on Celebrity Edge itself.

Through lush cinematography and placing the focus back on aesthetics and craft, “The Making of Edge” explores the ideas behind the inception, creation, and design of the ship, and what the designers and architects intended and their process and passion for what they do. Just wanted to take a second to wish ya’ll a Happy St. Patrick’s Day! I remember growing up here in Miami, I never really told people I was Irish because I stuck more with my Cuban side. As I’ve grown older, I’ve learned to appreciate both sides of my heritage! You’ll never find me without a claddagh ring (or my claddagh & shamrock tattoos lol).
