Aviron Pictures has released a new still from the studio’s forthcoming drama AFTER, starring Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes Tiffin. In the image, Tessa Young (Josephine Langford) says her last goodbye to her mother Carol (Selma Blair) before starting college.
Selma Blair shared that the film “is also a throwback to ‘Cruel Intentions,’ except I’m playing the mom instead of Christine Baranski.”
Plus, AFTER author Anna Todd had the film in mind when casting her, adding “Selma Blair as Carol is my teenage dreams coming true, because I loved ‘Cruel Intentions.’ Selma and Jo not only look alike, their spirits are the same. I honestly feel like every single person in the cast is exactly who they should be, even if they are these huge movie stars.”
