ILLUMINATION PRESENTS DR. SEUSS’ THE GRINCH – In Theaters November 9

Official Website | Facebook | Twitter | Instagram | #TheGrinch

For their eighth fully animated feature, Illumination and Universal Pictures present The Grinch, based on Dr. Seuss’ beloved holiday classic.  The Grinch tells the story of a cynical grump who goes on a mission to steal Christmas, only to have his heart changed by a young girl’s generous holiday spirit.  Funny, heartwarming and visually stunning, it’s a universal story about the spirit of Christmas and the indomitable power of optimism.

Academy Award® nominee Benedict Cumberbatch lends his voice to the infamous Grinch, who lives a solitary life inside a cave on Mt. Crumpet with only his loyal dog, Max, for company.  With a cave rigged with inventions and contraptions for his day-to-day needs, the Grinch only sees his neighbors in Who-ville when he runs out of food.

Each year at Christmas they disrupt his tranquil solitude with their increasingly bigger, brighter and louder celebrations.  When the Whos declare they are going to make Christmas three times bigger this year, the Grinch realizes there is only one way for him to gain some peace and quiet: he must steal Christmas.  To do so, he decides he will pose as Santa Claus on Christmas Eve, even going so far as to trap a lackadaisical misfit reindeer to pull his sleigh.

Meanwhile, down in Who-ville, Cindy-Lou Who—a young girl overflowing with holiday cheer—plots with her gang of friends to trap Santa Claus as he makes his Christmas Eve rounds so that she can thank him for help for her overworked single mother.  As Christmas approaches, however, her good-natured scheme threatens to collide with the Grinch’s more nefarious one.  Will Cindy-Lou achieve her goal of finally meeting Santa Claus?  Will the Grinch succeed in silencing the Whos’ holiday cheer once and for all

WALT DISNEY RECORDS TO RELEASE RALPH BREAKS THE INTERNET ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK

FEATURES ORIGINAL SONG PERFORMED BY SARAH SILVERMAN & GAL GADOT WITH MUSIC COMPOSED BY ALAN MENKEN, ORIGINAL END CREDIT SONG BY IMAGINE DRAGONS, SCORE BY HENRY JACKMAN, AND ADDITIONAL END CREDIT SONG BY JULIA MICHAELS

DIGITAL ALBUM AVAILABLE NOVEMBER 16

PHYSICAL CD SET FOR RELEASE NOVEMBER 30

Walt Disney Records will release the soundtrack for the Walt Disney Animation Studios film “Ralph Breaks the Internet” on Nov. 16. The soundtrack features original songs “A Place Called Slaughter Race” performed in the film by Sarah Silverman and Gal Gadot;  “Zero,” written and performed by Imagine Dragons; score by composer Henry Jackman (“Wreck-It Ralph,” “Captain America: Civil War,” “Big Hero 6”), and “In This Place,” a pop version of “A Place Called Slaughter Race,” performed by Julia Michaels.  Directed by Rich Moore and Phil Johnston, produced by Clark Spencer and featuring the voices of John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Gal Gadot and Taraji P. Henson, “Ralph Breaks the Internet” hits U.S. theatres on Nov. 21.

The soundtrack and film feature “A Place Called Slaughter Race,” featuring Sarah Silverman, voice of Vanellope von Schweetz.   In the vein of classic “I want” songs in the Disney canon such as “Someday My Prince Will Come” and “Part of Your World,” the song showcases Vanellope’s desire to be part of the world outside Sugar Rush—to grow as a racer and as a person.  The song also features the singing debut of Gal Gadot (“Wonder Woman”) as Shank.  The music was composed by Oscar®-winning songwriter/composer Alan Menken (“The Little Mermaid,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Pocahontas” and “Aladdin”) and the lyrics were written by Phil Johnston and GRAMMY®-winning producer Tom MacDougall (Frozen; Executive Vice President, Music at Disney).

The multi-platinum, GRAMMYwinning band, Imagine Dragons, wrote and recorded the end-credit song “Zero” for the film, embracing the struggle Ralph has with his evolving friendship with Vanellope. According to Imagine Dragons’ lead singer Dan Reynolds, the film’s emotional themes are reflected in the song. “It’s a pretty timely movie in a lot of ways in that it addresses some of the issues of identity and loneliness unique to this internet generation,” says Reynolds. “Ralph’s internal struggle for self-acceptance really resonated with us, and this song speaks to that.”  “Zero” is also featured on the band’s upcoming fourth studio album Origins available November 9.

Composer Henry Jackman, who scored 2012’s “Wreck-It Ralph,” returns to score the follow-up.

Jackman’s mission was to create a score that’s reminiscent of the first film, while embracing the new story and the vast, uncharted new world of the internet that Ralph and Vanellope must navigate to retrieve a part to save her game.   Says Jackman, “‘Wreck-It Ralph’ is one of the best animated films of recent times and I was really proud of the score. What makes this one different? There’s a clue in the title, ‘Ralph Breaks the Internet’—we’ve moved from the arcade to the internet. While we can retain some of the original material, there’s a new layer we had to create and integrate. There’s a distinction between arcade electronica and internet electronica, which sounds more modern.”

“There’s so many fun things to enjoy,” continues Jackman. “But I think the universality comes from the fact that it’s an important archetypal friendship story. Hidden behind all of this amazing technology and imagery is something very solid emotionally and narratively.”

Filmmakers called on GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter Julia Michaels to perform the second end-credit song, “In This Place,” a pop version of “A Place Called Slaughter Race.”   “I think one of my favorite things about ‘Ralph Breaks the Internet’ is Vanellope,” says Michaels, “because she’s just completely misunderstood. I think a lot of people feel that way—misunderstood—and go through life trying to find their power. And when they find it, it’s really beautiful.”

About “Ralph Breaks the Internet”
In “Ralph Breaks the Internet,” video-game bad guy Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly) and best friend Vanellope von Schweetz (voice of Sarah Silverman) leave the comforts of Litwak’s arcade in an attempt to save her game, Sugar Rush. Their quest takes them to the vast, uncharted world of the internet where they rely on thecitizens of the internet—the Netizens—to help navigate their way. Lending a virtual hand are Yesss (voice of Taraji P. Henson), the head algorithm and the heart and soul of the trend-making site“BuzzzTube,” and Shank (voice of Gal Gadot), a tough-as-nails driver from a gritty online auto-racing game called Slaughter Race, a place Vanellope wholeheartedly embraces—so much so that Ralph worries he may lose the only friend he’s ever had. Directed by Rich Moore (“Zootopia,” “Wreck-It Ralph”) and Phil Johnston (co-writer “Wreck-It Ralph,” “Zootopia,” writer, “Cedar Rapids”), and produced by Clark Spencer (“Zootopia,” “Wreck-It Ralph,” “Bolt,” “Lilo & Stitch”), “Ralph Breaks the Internet” hits theaters onNov. 21, 2018.

Ralph Breaks the Internet original motion picture soundtrack digital album will be available HERE on November 16 and the physical CD will be available HERE on November 30. The tour comes ahead of their eagerly anticipated new album, co-written with American multi-platinum selling songwriter, producer and musician Scott Harris (Shawn Mendes, Chainsmokers) and due for release in Spring 2018.

The album’s lead single ‘Ahead Of Myself’ was released this summer to great acclaim, and the official video has clocked up over 3 million views on YouTube. The band also sold out their headline show at London’s ULU, and pulled in one of the biggest crowds on the Radio 1 stage at Reading and Leeds Festival.

@NikkiSixx Announces 10th Anniversary Release of The Heroin Diaries w/New Merch! | #music

IMG_9892

Hello, everyone!

Here’s a bit of backstory . . . my oldest brother has always been a fan of Motley Crue, and that was passed down to me at an early age. I’d gotten laid off in 2008 and he offered me his ticket to FanFest even though it would’ve been his first time seeing them live. To repay him, I took him to see Motley Crue twice in the past four years before they put an end to touring. There’s a bond that music can form between two completely different people and that has always been appreciated.

DH0NJHUVYAE9t2-[1]When The Heroin Diaries was released in 2007, it quickly became one of my favorites. I even shared the book with some of my friends who wouldn’t have necessarily thought to pick it up at the bookstore. After reading my copy, they actually did go out and buy it for themselves. Personally, I’ve never done any sort of drug, but reading about his struggle with addiction and the struggle to regain control of his life was heart wrenching and I couldn’t put the book down. To know that someone struggled that bad and has now been sober for so many years is incredible. You will definitely find yourself wondering how he survived this time in his life, but that’s what makes his whole life story so interesting. I also think of this book as a sort of cautionary tale to anyone considering taking any drugs.

If you haven’t read this biography, here is the unofficial synopsis:

The book is a 413-page collection of diary entries written between Christmas of 1986 and Christmas of 1987. In considerable detail, the diaries chronicle the recording of Mötley Crüe’s Girls, Girls, Girls album and the subsequent Girls Girls Girls tour, ending with Sixx’s near-death from a heroin overdose in late 1987, which inspires the band to quit heroin altogether.

With the 10th Anniversary of the release approaching, Sixx is partnering with PledgeMusic to release special editions of the book, which include 2 brand new chapters, as well as deluxe editions, a graphic novel, signed copies of certain items, CD and Vinyl versions of the soundtrack by Sixx: A.M. (which is also FANTASTIC) and more. You can check out the link below to pre-order your merch:
