You guys!!! Mike and I are almost caught up on our recaps for The Originals. So sorry for the delay, but Mike had daddy duty and I was finishing up with one of my last classes. Adulting sucks sometimes, doesn’t it??

In any case, was anyone else watching this episode on the edge of their seat? There was also a lot of backlash towards the writers regarding the direction in which Hayley and Elijah’s relationship seems to be heading. Mike & I discuss our feelings on that in the podcast, but let me just say that if you’re a fan of the show be a fan of the show. Don’t start shooting hate towards the writers and creators because a relationship doesn’t have a picture perfect path that you want it to go on. They deliberate over the direction of the show in all aspects and they’re professionals for a reason! They know what they’re doing, people! Think before you send negative comments to people just because a pair of fictional characters aren’t giving YOU what you want. Write some fan fiction if that makes you feel better. As a writer myself, I just hate seeing the horrible comments like I saw on Twitter after these last few episodes aired. It’s not cool.

Anyway, check out the podcast below and let us know what you thought!

Hey there, everyone!

How did you all enjoy the directorial debut of our beloved Daniel Gillies?? I have to say, I love that The Vampire Diaries and The Originals have allowed some of the cast members to test their talents at directing. We’ve seen episodes directed by Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley, Joseph Morgan, Charles Michael Davis and now Daniel Gillies. Can’t wait to see what some of the women can do!!

In any case, I couldn’t make it on Skype today, but I sent Mike my thoughts on the episode and he held down the fort!

The Vampire Diaries – Season 8 Finale Review – “I Was Feeling Epic” [podcast] #TVDforever #TVD

img_6055

Hey everyone!

How are your emotions holding up after the EPIC series finale of our favorite show…The Vampire Diaries? Keisha and I got together to talk about our thoughts on the special 2-hour event and how the show has impacted our lives. You can listen to our podcast below and feel free to let us know what the show has done for you!

Personally, I started watching the show late in the game when it was on Netflix, but I’ve watched it live for the past few seasons now. I’ve met so many incredible friends at the TVD conventions, I’ve had the privilege of being in Covington, GA (aka Mystic Falls) for two season premieres and I just have so many great memories that I wouldn’t have it I hadn’t started watching. Meeting the cast and knowing that these characters we’ve fallen in love with over the past eight years genuinely care about the fans and are actually incredible people on and off screen makes me so PROUD to be a fan.

Here are a few of the photos from the conventions and my trips to Mystic Falls:

Thank you to Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson for creating a show that we’ve loved for the past eight years. Thank you to the writers who delivered incredible storylines time and time again. & to the wonderful cast…thank you for giving us characters we could root for, feel for, and for being great human beings on and off our television screens.

The show was wrapped up perfectly, tragically and beautifully & we thank you!

The Vampire Diaries – S8|E1: “Hello, Brother” Review

img_6055

Season 8 | Episode 1

Hey everyone! Welcome back to what is regrettably the final season of The Vampire Diaries. Keisha and I got together earlier to discuss the premiere episode and what our predictions are for the rest of the season.

I had the pleasure of watching the premiere episode in Covington, GA, where they film The Vampire Diaries and it was incredible. Being able to have lunch at the Mystic Grill, stand in front of the clocktower and watch the episode with a huge group of fans was a great experience. If you can ever make it out to Covington, pay Jessica a visit at Vampire Stalkers: Mystic Falls Tours. You can visit her website and book a tour to see filming locations from the show. I’ll be posting pictures from the tour I took with my best friends, and also more about the experience of being in Georgia for the premiere, so look out for that.

Check out our podcast review of the episode below and let us know what you thought! You can follow me on Twitter at @ThisIsKristin_ and Keisha at @Keishamaze.

SYNOPSIS: Stefan continues his search for Damon and Enzo months after they vanished from the armory vault; Caroline and Alaric fear for their family after a dangerous encounter with an unexpected visitor.
