What’s up, my fellow vampire lovers?!
Another episode of The Originals is in the books and this one was a special one! Episode 7 titled “High Water and the Devil’s Daughter” served as the directorial debut of our beloved Charles Michael Davis (aka Marcel) and it was fantastic!

SYNOPSIS: When it’s discovered that The Hollow’s latest servant is on the loose, Freya places a protection spell on the compound, forcing Klaus, Hayley and Hope to remain inside. Meanwhile, Elijah takes matters into his own hands when Vincent is reluctant to perform a dangerous ritual needed to strengthen their defense against The Hollow. Finally, while Freya enacts a risky plan that brings her face to face with their latest threat, an unexpected twist leaves her life hanging in the balance.

1. Marcel realized that Klaus has really changed for Hope especially after he met her. And for now, Klaus and Marcel are good. Hope is the best, She’s super sassy and knows how powerful she is. Best line – “I’m seven not stupid” 2. Keelin is a TOTAL badass. I think when the Hollow people surrounded her, she turned full on wolf (since she has the power with the ring to control her turning) and kicked ALL their asses. 3. Did you notice how Freya with Keelin acted like Elijah with Hayley (Season 1 Haylijah)? With the whole Keelin walks away and Freya pulls her back then kisses her. YAY. Great kiss, full on intense emotion. Loved it!!! Freya is trying to protect Keelin which I get and remember, “loving any of us (Mikaelsons) is a death sentence, isn’t it?) 4. I don’t think Tyler can come back because he’s literally a bunch of bones right now. I think Alaric brings one of his bones to NOLA to destroy the Hollow. Never watched TVD so I don’t have an opinion on him. 5. Good point with Vincent being a little reckless with the Harvest blade, uh, Elijah is right there and can totally see where it is. And TBH, Elijah was not wrong for jump starting the Harvest ritual. 6. Karma is a bitch when it came to Sofya. LOL. I think the Hollow reveal was THE WTF moment of the night. I mean, the Hollow is a woman and a Crescent wolf, WHAT?!!! And I totally thought it was Davina at first too. 7. Klaus killing Dominic was AWESOME!!! But after he chastised Elijah for killing him the first time, he goes and kills him? 8. I loathe the magic school storyline. If they renew for Season 5, how can you work that into The Originals? Will they ship Hope to Mystic Falls to go to school? Will they move The Originals to Mystic Falls instead of staying in NOLA? I honestly don’t want to watch kids learning magic for an entire season. 9. Rebekah and Kol will be coming back shortly. I heard at least Rebekah will be in 1/2 the season. . So maybe in 4×10 then the remainder of the season. Kol will have a major storyline as well.

Oh and I’m sorry but Vincent’s got a lot of nerve calling Elijah a punk and that he feels sorry for Hope because he’s her uncle. Ummm……Elijah has done nothing but try to protect Hayley and Hope since he met pregnant Hayley, again and again. Vincent is NO angel BTW. He brought the Hollow into his life and his wife’s life thus making her very dark. And there was no other way to re-establish the link the the ancestors without the Harvest ritual. Yes, the randomness of the witches that Elijah picked for the Harvest wasn’t great, but they HAD to do it.

Agreed! Elijah makes mistakes, and sometimes they’re HUGE ones, but Vincent is definitely not innocent. Is he trying to do the right thing in this case? Sure, but I think Elijah is doing the best he can to protect Hope and all the other children in New Orleans. So back off, Vincent! No one calls Elijah Mikaelson a punk! haha

OMG, Kristin. LOVE YOU! And thank you! There is way too much hate being piled on our beloved Elijah that is unwarranted, He is doing his best the only way he knows how which is the Mikaelson way. Vincent definitely needs to check himself.
