After months of speculation, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced yesterday that *NSYNC will (finally) receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!
All five members of the band (Justin Timberlake, Lance Bass, JC Chasez, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick, in case you were previously unaware) will be in attendance for the ceremony slated for April 30 at 11:30 am PT and, for those not able to attend, there will be a live-stream available on walkoffame.com.
Arguably one of the most iconic boy bands in the late 90’s/early 2000s, *NSYNC has sold over 30 million copies in the U.S. alone. While we don’t have any news floating around about a future reunion, we’ll just have to settle for this mini one! Heck, maybe it’ll spark conversations for a little reunion tour?? A girl can dream, right?
I’m biased, but I think they should’ve received their star years ago! Better late than never. If you disagree, come at me!
Be right back, gotta go sell an organ so I can buy myself a ticket to Cali.
USA has announced that THE SINNER will return for Season 2!
The show originally premiered as a six-part miniseries starring Jessica Biel and Bill Pullman, and will return for a limited season in Summer 2018.
SYNOPSIS: Season 2 lures Detective Harry Ambrose (Bill Pullman) back to his hometown in rural New York to assess an unsettling and heart wrenching crime — parents murdered by their 11-year-old son, with no apparent motive. As Ambrose realizes there’s nothing ordinary about the boy or where he came from, the investigation pulls him into the hidden darkness of his hometown. He’s pitted against those who’ll stop at nothing to protect its secrets — and a mysterious woman who proves to be a complicated, enigmatic piece to this haunting puzzle.
While Jessica Biel won’t be starring in Season 2, she’ll remain attached to the show as an executive producer alongside Derek Simonds, Michelle Purple, Charlie Gogolak, Brad Winters and Antonio Campos.
This show is definitely worth watching. It has you on the edge of your seat throughout every episode, and really makes you sympathize with characters you wouldn’t imagine sympathizing with. The premise for the show was based on the novel of the same name written by Petra Hammesfahr.
You can watch Season 1 of THE SINNER on DVD, Amazon Instant Video, Fandango Now, Google Play, iTunes, Microsoft, and Vudu.
Here’s the trailer for Season 1 in case you need convincing:
Now streaming on Netflix is a new original series, On My Block. Season 1 of On My Block contains 10 episodes that run about 30 minutes each. All 10 episodes premiered on March 16, 2018.
OnMyBlock, co-created by Lauren Iungerich (creator of Awkward) and Eddie Gonzalez & Jeremy Haft, is a coming-of-age comedy about four bright and street-savvy friends navigating their way through the triumph, pain and the newness of high school set in the rough inner city.
The series stars Diego Tinoco (Teen Wolf) as Cesar Diaz, Jason Genao (The Get Down, Logan) as Ruby Martinez, Jessica Marie Garcia (Disney’s Liv and Maddie) as Jasmin, Sierra Capri as Monse Finnie and Brett Gray as Jamal Turner.
Coming Soon to Netflix is a new original series, Alexa & Katie. Season 1 contains 13 episodes that will premiere on March 23, 2018.
Alexa & Katie is a funny and heartwarming show about two best friends eagerly anticipating the start of their freshman year of high school. Despite the fact that Alexa (Paris Berelc – Mighty Med, Lab Rats: Elite Force) is undergoing cancer treatment, her outgoing personality and enthusiasm for life never falter, especially with her loyal, quirky, and awkwardly adorable best friend Katie (newcomer Isabel May) by her side. At times they’re left feeling like outsiders, during a period when what seems to matter most is fitting in. Tiffani Thiessen (White Collar, Saved By The Bell) also stars as Lori, Alexa’s determined and protective mother.
Created by Heather Wordham (Hannah Montana, Reba) with comedy veteran Matthew Carlson (Malcolm In The Middle, Samantha Who?) serving as showrunner, the show’s star is Alexa and Katie’s friendship; whether it be at school, at home, or in the hospital, they are by each other’s side through thick and thin, serving as role models for modern-day female friendships.
SYNOPSIS: New York City private investigator Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) is beginning to put her life back together after murdering her tormenter, Kilgrave. Now known throughout the city as a super-powered killer, a new case makes her reluctantly confront who she really is while digging deeper into her past to explore the reasons why.
Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones) is joined by an incredible returning cast that includes Rachael Taylor (Trish Walker), Carrie-Anne Moss (Jeri Hogarth), Eka Darville (Malcolm Ducasse) and new cast members Janet McTeer and J.R. Ramirez, among others.
Marvel’s Jessica Jones on Netflix is Executive Produced by series Showrunner Melissa Rosenberg (“Twilight”, “Dexter”), Raelle Tucker (“True Blood”), Jim Chory (“Marvel’s Daredevil”, “Marvel‘s Luke Cage”, “Marvel‘s Iron Fist”) and Jeph Loeb (“Marvel’s Daredevil”, “Marvel‘s Luke Cage”, “Marvel‘s Iron Fist”) who also serves as Marvel’s Head of Television.
All 13 original episodes of Marvel’s Jessica Jones, Season 2 premiered exclusively on Netflix on March 8, 2018.
The Return of Marvel’s Jessica Jones
The first season of Marvel’s Jessica Jones launched on Netflix in November 2015 to enthusiastic support from audiences and critically acclaim, ultimately taking home a prestigious Peabody Award recognizing the show’s achievement in television entertainment.
Marvel’s Head of Television Jeph Loeb remembers, “We knew that we had something very special, not just in the writing from Melissa Rosenberg, but also in the performance by Krysten Ritter. We had hoped that it was a story that was going to resonate first with the Marvel audience, but secondly with a much larger audience. We were delighted to see how many people responded to the material and responded to it in a way that in some ways exceeded their expectations of the genre. Certainly the subject matter and the timing are something that you can never really have any control over, but it was the right show at the right time. One of the reasons that we’re so excited about season two is that it delves deeper into issues that make a difference to our audience and really connect to women in particular. That’s very important to Marvel and to Jessica Jones.”

THE RIVERAS RETURNED MARCH 11 FOR THE MOST HONEST AND REVEALING SEASON YET
Love, secrets, unexpected break ups, brave revelations and challenges are everything that you will see in this upcoming season of The Riveras on UNIVERSO. The third and most revealing season yet offers viewers a deeper look into the lives of Chiquis, Jacqie, Mike, Johnny and Jenicka.
The family’s relatability has been key to the show’s success – it is raw, honest, funny at times and depicts the challenges that families go through.
“I think what makes our show unique is that we’re the only English language reality television show about a Hispanic family.” Johnny, the youngest Rivera goes on to say “we’re five siblings that all connect in different ways and I think our audience likes to see that. We don’t always agree on everything or get a long all the time, but at the end of the day we are a family and we stick by each other’s side no matter what.”
The 14-episode season offers viewers a lens into their lives as they face life challenges while supporting each other. Chiquis unveils her relationship with Lorenzo and struggles with commitment issues while continuing to build her empire and the family legacy through her music career. Chiquis releases her new single “Quisieran tener mi lugar,” a duet with her mother. When asked about who she dedicates this song to, Chiquis said “My mom used to receive so much criticism for everything and anything she did. There were a few ladies especially that loved to criticize her and me as well. I’d like to dedicate that song to them.” Her second studio album, “Entre Botellas” was released on March 16th.
Mike takes a shot at stand-up comedy, while continuing to parent his autistic daughter Luna. “As a father of a young daughter with autism, I have learned that patience is the key to being a good parent.” He adds, “the child will always come first, and I think it is important for parents to know, especially if they are separated, that you have to put your differences aside and be selfless for your child.” Jenicka also has a few changes up her sleeve and surprises Mike with the news that she will be moving back in with Chiquis and embarks on a journey to pursue a career in plus-size modeling. Having recently come out via social media, Johnny introduces his partner Joaquin to his family and friends and graduates high school. While on a pursuit for happiness, Jacquie’s recent weight loss gives her a new sense of courage to begin a career in singing and be the best mom she can be to her three children.
Tune in to UNIVERSO on Sundays at 10pm/9c to watch the most revealing, honest and raw season of this perfectly imperfect family.
I’ve been wanting to see GIFTED for so long, and I finally got to watch it last night! I absolutely loved it! The cast was phenomenal and Mckenna Grace is definitely a force to be reckoned with.
SYNOPSIS: Frank Adler (Chris Evans) is a single man raising a child prodigy – his spirited young niece Mary (Mckenna Grace) – in a coastal town in Florida. Frank’s plans for a normal school life for Mary are foiled when the 7-year-old’s mathematical abilities come to the attention of Frank’s formidable mother, Evelyn (Lindsay Duncan), whose plans for her granddaughter threaten to separate Frank and Mary.
To be quite honest, this didn’t even feel like a movie. This felt like I was a spirit observing a beautiful relationship between an uncle and his niece. The acting didn’t feel forced at all and Mckenna’s performance didn’t just tug at my heart strings . . . she obliterated them. The on-screen chemistry between her and Chris Evans was so incredibly heartwarming. Even her relationship with their neighbor, Roberta (Octavia Spencer), was a thing of beauty.
This film touched me on a personal level because of the relationship I have with my own niece. Sometimes you put your own life on hold to help raise someone else and I felt Frank’s struggle entirely in that respect. You want to do right by them and make sure they have the best life possible, but everyone makes mistakes. It’s how you bounce back from those mistakes that makes all the difference.
What Mckenna does as Mary is what blows you away as a viewer. She is a math prodigy who struggles to balance being a genius and being a kid. Frank, Roberta and the one-eyed cat Fred, help to keep Mary on a track that finds that balance successfully.
I caught the film on HBO, but this is one that I would definitely recommend actually buying. It’s funny, it’s sad, it’s beautiful, it’s tragic and it’s absolutely underestimated. It’s a wonderful indie film that I highly recommend!

AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR opens in theaters April 27th.
“The sentiment is worthy of praise. So too is the track. With a belting chorus and intelligent lyrics, ‘Woman’ is a rich slice of alt-soul.” – Mahogany
Highly acclaimed London quartet The King’s Parade have revealed the video for their latest single ‘Woman’, which takes aim at the issues of gender inequality prevalent in today’s society.
The video premiered with Happy Magazine who said, “’Woman’ is a refined and thought-provoking clip, sure to leave a major mark across the indie music scene. Clearly, The King’s Parade are cementing their status as one of the most naturally talented and hustling young acts this year.”
Featuring a lone female amongst a sea of larger, anonymous figures in New York, the video highlights the negative attitudes and behaviour towards women. Increasingly shunned and alienated from these more powerful figures, the monochrome aesthetic is broken only by the emergence of a flower, which engulfs the building, before the character blossoms into a soaring creature. Deeply symbolic of patriarchal oppression and how it can be overcome, the video was animated by Lily Fang, who previously made the band’s video for their highly acclaimed single ‘Bunched Up Letters’.
‘Woman’ follows the release of the Haze EP last year which saw the band receive high profile support from BBC 6Music, BBC Introducing, The Independent, Wonderland, Alternative Press, EARMILK and many more.
Its release saw them appear at summer festivals including Secret Garden Party and Cornbury Festival while they played sold out headline shows across the UK and Europe. Most recently The King’s Parade sold out their London release show for ‘Woman’ as well as being nominated for the UMA Choice Award at the forthcoming Unsigned Music Awards 2018.
The King’s Parade breathe fresh life into UK guitar bands. They have developed an exciting new blueprint, which is seeing a loyal and expectant fanbase grow by the day.
“It’s alt-soul melding classic blues influences with more of a modern pop vibe” The Independent
“Elegant guitar riffs and heart melting vocals” Wonderland
“The King’s Parade intertwine alternative and soul on this new single” Alternative Press
“The group are a sought after creative force” Clash
“The four-man band is one of the most naturally talented groups out there” EARMILK

The new album and tour follow a breakthrough few years for Cobb, who was nominated for Best Americana Album at the 60th GRAMMY Awards for his major label debut, Shine On Rainy Day.
Released in 2016 to overwhelming acclaim, Uncut said of the album, “the work of a man who’s finally found his calling”, while Mojo said, “It would be a true tragedy if we had to wait another decade for more of his intimate, timeless music.”
Since the album’s release, Cobb has been nominated for Emerging Artist of the Year at the 2017 Americana Honors & Awards and made his television debut on CONAN.
Cobb was born in Americus, Georgia, about an hour east of Columbus, in the rural south-central part of the state. In addition to his work as an artist, Cobb is widely respected as a songwriter garnering cuts by Lee Ann Womack, Luke Bryan, The Oak Ridge Boys, Little Big Town, Miranda Lambert and more.
Amazon Studios debuted the new teaser trailer for LIFE ITSELF during the Season 2 finale of “This Is Us” on Tuesday night. The film is written and directed by “This Is Us” creator Dan Fogelman and stars Oscar Isaac, Olivia Wilde, Mandy Patinkin, Olivia Cooke, Laia Costa, Annette Bening and Antonio Banderas.

If you’ve been anywhere in the past 2 months, you should definitely be aware of the name Adam Rippon. He won over the hearts of (most) Americans throughout the 2018 Winter Olympics and he’s been making his way through the TV/Interview circuit ever since. This week he made an appearance on HOT ONES, where he had to feast on spicy wings with host Sean Evans.
My brother got me to watch a few episodes of HOT ONES on YouTube a few weeks ago, so I was stoked to find out that Adam would be on it this week! He’s hilarious in regular interviews, so throw some fiery wings in the mix and it was sure to make people cry with laughter.
Check out the episode below to see if Adam is able to hold his shit together!
SPOILER: I give him a ton of credit because he ate more chicken on each wing than most of the other guests have on the show!
Universal Pictures and Gabrielle Union debuted the new poster for BREAKING IN.

Producers Will Packer (No Good Deed, Obsessed) and Union (Almost Christmas, Being Mary Jane) reunite for this original thriller directed by James McTeigue (V for Vendetta, Sense8). Written by Ryan Engle (Non-Stop), Breaking In co-stars Billy Burke (Twilight series), Richard Cabral (End of Watch), Ajiona Alexus (Empire), Levi Meaden (Pacific Rim Uprising), Jason George (Grey’s Anatomy), Seth Carr (Black Panther) and Christa Miller (Cougar Town).
Joining Union and Packer as fellow producers are Will Packer Productions’ James Lopez (Girls Trip, Think Like a Man), and Practical Pictures’ Craig Perry and Sheila Hanahan Taylor (American Pie and Final Destination series). Jaime Primak Sullivan, whose story the screenplay is based upon, serves as an executive producer alongside Valerie Bleth Sharp and Jeff Morrone.
Warner Bros. just released the first trailer for FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE CRIMES OF GRINDELWALD and I can hardly control my excitement!
FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE CRIMES OF GRINDELWALD is the much-anticipated sequel to 2016’s Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, and is the second installment of five films.
SYNOPSIS: At the end of the first film, the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Depp) was captured by MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America), with the help of Newt Scamander (Redmayne). But, making good on his threat, Grindelwald escaped custody and has set about gathering followers, most unsuspecting of his true agenda: to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings. In an effort to thwart Grindelwald’s plans, Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) enlists his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided wizarding world.
The film is directed by David Yates, screenplay written by the incredible J.K. Rowling, and stars Eddie Redmayne, Jude Law, Johnny Depp, Katherine Waterston, Zoe Kravitz, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol and Ezra Miller.
What are you waiting for? Watch the trailer and let me know what you think!
FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE CRIMES OF GRINDELWALD is in theaters November 16!

I had the chance to catch a special screening of LOVE, SIMON last night with the niece and we absolutely loved it! We’d been looking forward to this movie since the trailer was first released and it definitely did not disappoint.
SYNOPSIS: Everyone deserves a great love story. But for seventeen-year old Simon Spier it’s a little more complicated: he’s yet to tell his family or friends he’s gay and he doesn’t actually know the identity of the anonymous classmate he’s fallen for online. Resolving both issues proves hilarious, terrifying and life-changing. Directed by Greg Berlanti (Dawson’s Creek, Brothers & Sisters), written by Isaac Aptaker & Elizabeth Berger (This is Us), and based on Becky Albertalli’s acclaimed novel, LOVE, SIMON is a funny and heartfelt coming-of-age story about the thrilling ride of finding yourself and falling in love.
To start off, the cast in LOVE, SIMON was absolutely phenomenal. It was diverse, it was incredibly talented and every single person made you feel connected to their character in some way. You’re able to place yourself in each character’s shoes to try and imagine what they might have been feeling in that moment and how you would react, in your own life, to certain situations that presented themselves throughout the movie.
Nick Robinson (Everything, Everything) shines as Simon Spier. You can actually feel his anxiety about coming out to his friends and family and being so desperate to do it on his own terms. For those in the LGBTQ community, their coming out story is such a powerful moment in their life and having that moment forced upon them the way it was forced upon Simon in the movie was heartbreaking. As someone who is straight, but very much connected to members of the LGBTQ community, these moments in LOVE, SIMON actually made me cry a bit. Yes, I admit it. My niece and I were wiping away tears that never stopped flowing. It was sad, it was uplifting, it was triumphant, it was lovely and it was inspiring all rolled into one hour and 50 minutes.
I would love to read the novel “Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda” by Becky Albertalli to see if we get a bit more of a backstory for Simon. When the movie begins, we’re thrust into his present day struggle with being gay and no one having a clue. We get a quick little glimpse of when he sort of realized when he was gay, but I would’ve liked to see that explained just a little more. Its absence doesn’t take away from the film at all though.
Both my niece and I highly recommend seeing LOVE, SIMON. It’s such an important message for those struggling with their own sexuality, for parents who are oblivious to how their children might be feeling, for friends to learn how to be accepting and supportive towards each other, for classmates to see how bullying and social media could really affect a person’s life. It touches on so many important topics for young adults. Some of the characters are flawed in their own way–some more than others–and that really contributes to the realistic feel to the entire movie.
It will make you laugh, cry and cheer for these characters and it will most definitely make you LOVE SIMON!
You can catch LOVE, SIMON in theaters March 16, 2018!
