Ushering in a new era of horror, Universal Pictures’ Unfriended unfolds over a teenager’s computer screen as she and her friends are stalked by an unseen figure who seeks vengeance for a shaming video that led a vicious bully to kill herself a year earlier.
After Universal executives saw a test screening of Unfriended terrify a test audience, the studio acquired the thriller that was developed and conceived by visionary filmmaker Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter). Directed by Levan Gabriadze, Unfriended is written by Nelson Greaves, produced by Bekmambetov and Greaves, and executive produced by Jason Blum for Blumhouse Productions (Ouija and Paranormal Activity, The Purge and Insidious series). www.unfriendedmovie.com

Hi Kristin! Just found your blog. Unfriended seems like a mash-up of The Blair Witch Project and Smiley. I’ll probably watch it anyway. LOL. I love movies, pop culture and entertainment so am looking forward to reading your archives. Just started following your blog 🙂

Hi Lourdes! Thank you so much!
I agree. I think the reason it seems like a mash-up is because of the home video feel to it. In a way I think it makes films more believable because it doesn’t seem like there’s a huge production behind it.
Come back and let me know what you think after you’ve watched it! Lol. Thanks for following!
