The highly anticipated trailer for AQUAMAN made a splash at Comic-Con this past weekend and . . . yes, just yes. Jason Momoa reprises his role as Aquaman aka Arthur Curry from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League, and I’m stoked to see him take on the lead role in this one!
SYNOPSIS: Arthur Curry learns that he is the heir to the underwater kingdom of Atlantis, and must step forward to lead his people and to be a hero to the world.
I have to admit, I was waiting for Ariel and King Triton to appear on the screen during the trailer haha. While Amber Heard’s character, Mera, certainly fits the description of Ariel, AQUAMAN is in a league of its own when it comes to underwater worlds. This looks so much better than I was expecting!

Warner Brothers unveiled the latest trailer for FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE CRIMES OF GRINDELWALD at Comic-Con 2018 this past weekend and it doesn’t disappoint!
The more promo that is released regarding this film, the bigger it gets. The production value in the trailer alone is incredible! As you probably already know, this is the second installment of the Fantastic Beasts films, following the 2016 debut, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

I’ve been to a lot of live shows in the past two months or so, but it’s still not enough! This time, my niece and I got to see Sam Smith’s ‘The Thrill of It All Tour’ at the American Airlines Arena in Downtown Miami on July 14th. Sadly, our seats were in the nosebleeds, but it didn’t even take away from the incredible show that he put on for everyone.
The show started promptly at 8pm with his opening act for the night, Cam. Cam is a country singer who I’d never heard of before, but she has a great voice. She was interacting with the crowd throughout her set and really tried to get people to see a personal side to her. This isn’t an easy task when you know the crowd is there to see someone else. With that being said, I felt like she held her own up there! I would definitely check out her music HERE.
Sam’s set began at about 9pm and lasted almost 2 hours. I’m not sure if it’s because of where we were sitting, but the sound for this show was absolutely fantastic. Sometimes at live shows, you can’t hear what the artist is saying because of the acoustics in the venue and where your seats are. This one, however, sounded great. At one point, Sam addressed the sadness in his songs by joking, “I was sitting in my home and realized how fucking depressing my music is.” He wanted to make it a point not to have us leave the room “feeling like shit” afterward and I think he succeeded.
One of my favorite moments of the night was during “I’m Not the Only One” when he put his mic down and had the entire crowd singing his words back to him. It was so loud and beautiful. Those are always my favorite moments during a live show, but this one seemed particularly moving.
There was also a fantastic moment at the end of “HIM” where the lights went out and a light bar on stage lit up in rainbow colors.
One thing that I found particularly funny was right before the encore performances. The amount of people that were walking out was puzzling. I had to ask my niece if they were new to the art that is a live show. You don’t leave until the lights come up, people!

To be quite honest, despite the distance of our seats from the stage, this was one of my top 3 shows I’ve ever been to (and I’ve been to A LOT). Everything about it was worth the mission getting to the AAA. If you have a chance to catch the show, I highly recommend it. You can even get the “cheap” seats and still have a great time!
Get out there and support a musician who wears his heart on his sleeve and is unapologetically proud to be who he is — a musician with true talent and a voice we all love.

Ladies and gentlemen, you have NO idea how patiently I’ve been waiting for HOW IT ENDS to be released on Netflix. And by patiently, I mean not patient at all. This looks SO good and I’m kinda salty, but also excited, that my lovelies in NYC got to see a special screening of the film last night (July 10, 2018).

A new exciting season of MasterChef brings Chef Aaron Sanchez to the MasterChef kitchen and this season sees the judges in the role of mentors.
Sanchez comes back with more experience and confidence to compete with the other judges.
“It feels great to be back on the show with a whole new round of home cooks competing for the title,” Sanchez said. “I’ve really honed my ability to be a mentor through this show and feel like I am part of a family with the cast and crew, so it’s great to be back again this season.”
There is a new dynamic with judges now acting as mentors, this changes the way judges/mentors do their judging.
Having the competition aspect between the judges/mentors gets a larger investment into the home cooks, especially the team the judges/mentors build.
“This new element is so much fun because Joe, Gordon and myself are now competing with each other. I still have to be as unbiased as possible when judging, but it is really hard when someone on my team lets me down, but on the flip side it makes it that much better when someone really succeeds,” Sanchez said. “Being a mentor has been so fulfilling and it’s great to take this journey with the contestants and impart as much knowledge on them as I possibly can. It definitely deepens my investment because I put my own name on the line for all my team members and it really reflects on my judgement when they fail or rise to the top.”
The friendship between the judges has always been apparent, so has the friendly rivalry, but as the judges now go head-to-head the excitement is increased.
The judges get to be a bigger part of the success of the home cooks that join the show.
“Well, we always had fun but now we are really playing around with taking digs at each other and fighting for our team to win,” Sanchez said. “Is there anything else that will surprise audiences in what remains of the season? The real life experiences are getting so authentic and there are so many shocking moments as to who rises to the occasion and who falls flat.”
The season really becomes more competitive, both for the home cooks and the chefs as the seasons comes to the finale.
The home cooks get pushed to be their best and even rise to the occasion.
But, as Sanchez sees this season through to the end, he looks to continue to help people realize their culinary dreams.

Award-winning UK pop star George Shelley has today released his debut solo single ‘Technicolour’ on the new forward-thinking record label Touch Recordings. He’ll be performing the track live on stage at the huge Pride celebrations tomorrow in London’s Trafalgar Square.
‘Technicolour’, produced with Alex Beitzke and Bradley Spence (Florence + The Machine, Gabrielle Aplin, Take That) is a bouncy pop tune pulling together house beats and synths to create a huge dance anthem celebrating a triumphant fresh start for the singer after battling personal tragedy and family loss.
Regarding the single George says, “Kicking off summer with ‘Technicolour’ feels like a fresh start for me. The song has me rebelling at the top of my lungs against everything I was afraid of in the past, and marks a new era for my music, music that has undeniably helped me through a challenging journey. I just want everyone to really feel the love and joy in the song, and find the happiness and pride in the lyrics.”
